I think you should carry a bolo knife or a stick to protect you against snakes or predators… you need to be able to protect yourselves. Be safe!

I agree don’t drink from water sources like that. It would be very easy to either boil that water and then cool it down or run it through a filter. There’s a brand of filter called a Sawyer mini that is perfect for drinking from water sources like that. The Sawyer mini actually threads onto a plastic bottle you fill up the plastic bottle and squeeze some water through the filter to purge the filter and then drink as much as you want from the filter. Then after several uses, you can backwash the filter by pushing freshwater in reverse through the filter . A friend of mine drank from spring in Cuba and got a parasite almost killed him. I was also told that there’s not very many places in this world that you can drink from wild source to dangerous. Dangerous to even chance. You cannot tell if the water is pure by just taste alone.

Simple life is a gift from God . Not all many people bless this kind of life because so many people wanted to be chaos and materialistic life that's why they're chasing time always which is in the end can't appreciate small things in life... remember happiness comes both from small and big things.. so Boris and Darlene I wish to have a simple life like you guys..never change your status in life but when time comes for a change better stay grounded....embrace life like a child ànd you never grow old...love you guys..

Boris does a great job of taking photos with his camera, the path that you have taken is isolated and there is hardly nobody around but the foliage is very green with a wild Bird of paradise flowers. Someone had advised for you to bring a stick used by trekkers for protection. I think that it can be USEFUL 🎉🎉🎉😂😂

trekking stick and a pocket knife (foldable) is a must since you like hiking or going to remote areas.

Darlene, pls. always make bread for Boris as he is not eating rice like how Filipinos do. You can watch on youtube how to make Sour Dough bread for example. Happy to watch your vlog.

it's rattan fruit. it is edible when it is ripe. it turns yellow and golden when ripe you remove the hard skin and the fruit is white and it tastes sour and sweet. masarap iyan. you ask the local folks. i could be wrong. tawag sa amin "kalapi".

the local guy with the machete said, it's potable but it hasn't been cleaned lately...In Hawaii, those flowers are called 'birds of paradise'. Rabong is 'dabong' in Visayan dialect, in english simply called bamboo shoot...

The area looks awesome with lots of natures beauty. One particular nature that really catches my attention is the reddish flowery (oh yah! "birds of paradise") ornamental plant. It reminds me of my younger days because my Mom and Aunt used to have this ornamental plants in their gardens. I'm glad locals don't pillage the beauty of the surrounding natures.

Be very careful parking and leaving your motorcycle 🏍 Anywhere, especially leaving it parked unattended. There are thieves everywhere!!!! Never be too trusting! Don't leave anything valuable in the box at all! ❤❤
