We were there from New Zealand on the day they unloaded, thats my wife Robin looking on in the background while I was getting up close and personal with the car. Even tho it was a bit stressful for Richard, he still took the time to stop and chat with us and show us around. Very cool.

That thing will be a hoot on the road. Years ago a local dealership behind my dad's business in downtown got a rail dragster for a display car. But one day I was over there and they fired it up and drove for a few blocks through town - ok, it wasn't street legal but it was still cool to see it and hear it downtown.

For those that don't get it, they've showed footage from a previous video as a reminder of them getting the car & a update on it as there will be a video coming in a few days of them working on the car... It's not that complicated

Awesome car and can't wait to see what y'all do to it.

Drag racers use special air bladders under the chassis during transportation to avoid this issue and blowing up their drag shocks. You should look it up.

First of all this thing is awesome!! It's one of the coolest designs I've seen in quite awhile! I personally think it would look great just leaving the basic design just like it is but bring it into the now! Put a better looking set of wheels and tires on the back but make sure it keeps that dragster theme! I would also do the interior super comfortable! Richard and his beautiful Wife would look awesome cruising this thing to whatever event they they decide to debut it at! I also think you would want to put AC in it if that possible without cluttering up the engine. I'm sure the guys at Gas 🐒 can make it happen and make it even more badass than it's ever been!! Godd Job Richard! I'm excited to see the end result of this one!

Where is Chase and why did he leave? Did he leave for a better position some where else and more money?

I dont know how well these work but they might prevent issues like this. They seem like a good idea to stop loads from coming loose and might be worth a try. Their bungee straps are really good so hopefully it carry's over to this product. The company is called BihlerFlex and the product is called the Shockstrap.

If you strapped the car down the righht way and checked the straps it would never move or as you said "shift". Carelessness is what it is.

You need to realize that car is long the motor sits at the wheels of the trailer and there are probably not many tie down points on the car that does not pose a problem of some sort. Then tac on the 900 mile ride. Very easy to damage it

@@Bigdog78901 He even admitted he never checked the back straps. Poor decision on his part. You must check all the straps, not just the front ones. This guy causes more damage then he is worth

In calif. There was VanNuys & Resada Blvds was cruising spots from 60's to 80's, till the cops started blocking all the side streets, then we came along.

I remember when the car was built cause it started showing up in magazines and that car right there might be what inspired people to build street legal rail buggys out of pipes or whatever they had layn around. They were dune and mud buggys and they started popping up everywhere lol...They went through an inspection and they ended with titles for em...I can't say that particular dragster started all that but it was around that time when the pipe/rail buggys started popping up. Or maybe the 60s was when they started making street legal dune and mud buggys out of pipes and whatever they had, after thinking about it I remember seeing street legal home made buggys running around in the 60s...

Pffff I gotta get to the states and start transporting vehicles properly, the constant messing up of these historic vehicles drives me absolutely mental...the guys half asleep AND THE POP TIRE WAS HIS FAULT MY GOD!! I thought it came like that I can't image how your feeling about it

Town I grew up in was in Car Craft magazine in 1985 for Cruisin USA in Pottstown PA

Dude y'all just showed a pic from American Graffiti movie with the 32 ford and the 55 chevy... I lived there in Petaluma California. My dad and grandpa were in the background of the filming with semis. You cant really see them but a lot of what you can see in the movie as a kid I was all over it skateboarding.

I can tell you what happened. The owner aired up the tires for the guy, but didn’t tell him they go flat. He strapped it down tire went flat strap came loose in car moved.
