Tim is exceptional. He is destined for greatness. I've worked as a Genesis dealer trainer in the northeast and this orientation is highly encouraging. Tim sets a fine example of what a delivery should look like.

I saw this exact spec in person at an airport last week and I have to say it looks much better in person than on video. I wasn’t sure about it at first but now I’m actually digging the styling!

All of their brands ev's are nice but I think I like the GV60s design the best. I saw one of these in a parking lot recently and I had to stop and admire it. You're right, it looks even better in person! If I were to get a non-tesla ev it would likely be this model

I’ve recently called 2 Genesis dealers, both were totally clueless on the GV60, including when one could order, delivery date estimate, specs, etc. Yet your video has you actually picking one up. AMAZING. CONGRATS! Great EV and video.

GV60 is only available in limited areas. sold out everywhere and they are flying out the door. Crazy great value.

They’re only selling it in four states initially. I believe CA, NY, NJ and CT. My local dealer said that they are prioritizing reservation holders first.

I found the closest GV60 auth dealer was > 200 miles away- while I’d love one, we are not traveling that far for service.

Congratulations Dave! I must confess to being a bit envious. Looking forward to hearing about yours and Cathy’s experiences in the GV 60. And watch it with the “Old Guy” stuff. You’re hitting close to home! 😉 I think a “Out of Spec Dave” sounds like a good idea.

If I was in the market for a premium EV; this would be the one. Nice color choice!

Out of Spec Dave would be worth watching with a focus on the drivers who are less interested in Canyon Carving with everything under the sun even if the vehicle is not designed for that (sorry Kyle). Safety features, range tests of course, charging issues if any, leg room and comfort for taller drivers of course, visibility, adaptive cruise and lane keeping prowess etc. are some of the topics I want to see more of.

I'm in my 60's and interested in EV's so I would love to get Dave's perspective on his own channel. I loved the Genesis feature where you set height, weight, and inseam for seat adjustment. I've never heard of a car having that. I'm 5'10" and my wife is 5' even with short legs so quite a difference in seat adjustment.

This video actually helped me figure out a mystery with my own 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. I noticed once when I put the car in reverse the mirrors tilted down. But after that one time, I couldn't figure out why they stopped doing it 😂😅

I am curious to know if the Genesis GV60 is capable of estimate the battery charge remaining when you input a destination in the navigation system. I remember in one of your videos that you mentioned how important will be to have the feature in the ioniq 5 and kia ev6. I owned an Ioniq 5 SEL and I would definitely expect that Hyundai will bring this feature in a near software update. Thanks.

The first “out of spec” video I ever saw was the one you recorded right after this, driving home this car. I didn’t discover the main out of spec channel until much later. Weird that I just found this video now, a year later. Since then I’ve watched dozens of videos from both you and Kyle. My next car will definitely be an EV, and right now the GV60 is my leading contender. See you at a charging station someday! (Well, probably not, I’m in California. But you never know!)

I like the sales guy. Much more informed that a lot of them.

Sharp looking car… looks like an EV6 on the outside but an Ioniq5 on the inside! I have an EV6 and I turned off that level 1 lane keep feature. I found I basically fought the car while driving normally as it felt I was getting too close to a line way too often for me.

Thanks Dave, looking forward to seeing more of the Hyundai cars in the land Down Under - I am a fellow 'old bloke' and have just ordered a Tesla Model Y for which, in the RHD market, there is no comparison. I would be more in favour of you getting on the OOSR payroll and issuing videos under the same channel - in the end we are all EV nerds! 😉

Yeah, I liked the look of the GV60 ... same as I liked the Ioniq 5 but had concerns about the color (Lucid Blue Pearl) and the wheels until I saw it in person.

I think the standard model does 0-60 in 4.4s. My guess is that the Performance model well be in the 3’s.

@@monaezytwo6513 I test drove the GV60. It’s nicer than any other EV I’ve driven including a couple of Teslas. REALLY nice interior, rides really good and it’s quiet. Although I’d probably save the money and go for the $58k Advanced minus the $7500 federal tax credit.

@@42dunbar Mercedes makes a nice EV interior as well. Problem is the range, price, charging etc. There isn't an EV on the road today that can touch a Tesla.

@@monaezytwo6513 I’ve driven the Model Y and Model S Plaid. The GV60 charges quicker than a Tesla from 10-80% and it’s cheaper than the Model Y when you factor in the $7500 federal tax credit.

When I saw your post about the comparison between the cars, I nearly Tweeted back at you, "Dave is totally going to end up buying that Genesis." Joke's on me, you already did! 😂

I am jealous. Enjoy the E car and congrats. I am seriously thinking about cancelling T order and go for Genesis. Yes, Hyundai will be a major player in EV World...more than japanese car company.

FYI, on the Ioniq 5 at least you can fully disable to Lane Departure stuff (referred to as level 1) in the infotainment menu. I was tired of HDA fighting lane departure so I killed it. Much better. No more beeping on country roads, etc.

After waiting for the Ioniq 5 for so long with no delivery in sight, we decided to make the switch to the GV60 when it launched and are anxiously waiting for delivery. I am very curious to see how Kathy likes driving the car as this will be my baby. We ordered white as well, but decided on the Advanced model which I’m hoping I don’t regret. Looking forward to more GV60 videos from Out of Spec, Dave!

Overall, they should be doing better than the EPA estimate. But it depends on so many factors from driving style, terrain, wind, weather, driving mode, etc. I have the AWD, LR top of the line Canadian version and have been averaging a little over 300 miles per charge. Wasn't getting that back in the springtime.

Thomas, on Autogefühl, commented on how tight the drivers compartment feels. I’m surprised that at 6’5” you did not notice this.

Tell me which one you would pick for a very first ev? I now have a Palisade Limited loaded and love it. Which one the gv 60 or the ioniq 5 would be better for me to start. I am 72 and drive about 8,000 miles year.

I also have a loaded Palisade Limited and chose the GV60 as the more luxurious choice to match my Palisade. Both arevfabulous vehicles for the money AND like you I'm also approaching my 70's and drive 8-10,000 miles a year. Besides you will probably find the Genesis GV60 more readily available than the Ioniq 5. Good luck!

I've been looking and waiting for an ID4 and or an Ionic 5 since forever. How are you getting access to these vehicles?? Looking forward to more GV60 & Ionic 5 updates.
