Nice car Rob and it’s great that you get stuck in. Real enthusiasm. Now then love your accent, it’s who you are . I still have me Yorkshire accent even though I have worked in Australia for over 10 years. Keep the videos coming.
"Fitting three fingers in there" Takes me back 😄 Great content as always guys
You forgot the bumper crash bar and horns mate...Oh and the bonnet release handle😆 This will definately be a good buy once it's done. 👍
Always good to buy private rather than through copart. Love the TT's

Lovely car shame theres idiots out there that destroy them but luckily enough there's guys out there like you and Chris that do a amazing job and give them a second life 👌🏻
Chris is like what damage let the master of metal put it straight. Dolly and hammer out time 🤣
Rob, don’t forget the horns need replacing…👍
Bonnet catch required rob 👍🏻
Some interesting aluminium repair work for Chris on that rear quarter. Biggish miles but it’s had the cam belt service and the water pump done, so few more miles ahead yet. Be a real stunner when it’s done 👍😎
I wondered were the big fella was nice to see he’s had a weekend off treating his lady 👍you are the hardest working lads I’ve seen
I had one of the first 130hp red TDI VW Golf with a six speed gearbox. Drove it to 160kmiles. Fastest car I ever owned, better than the petrol version by far. Used to tow a trailer on the M5 down to Cornwall and you should have seen the faces of the other drivers when I passed them towing my fully laden trailer, revving at 2000rpm in six gear doing 42+ mpg. A beast.
I think you forgot the horns on ya list Rob and maybe the bonnet opener plastic bracket :) Good vid lads !!!
Don't forget the bonnet pull Rob. You've covered everything else mate.
you also need a pocketful full of shrapnel in the ashtray for chris :) :)
Another lovely video Rob and Chris 🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡
Great diesel engines and no problem with 100,000+ miles if oil maintenance has been regular. I have a similar car/mileage - burns no oil, no leaks and feels as smooth as it did when much newer.
Crash bar and hooters too... Great to see Chris back 👍
As you say you seem to be VAG specialists at the moment but just a phase I expect🙂 We have had two TT's and absolutely love em - great fun to drive but very useable for all types of driving. The bonnet handle is a very common problem but quite cheap to replace. Not too much damage on this one although aluminium panels are bit more of a challenge but nothing you can't handle!
You forgot the horns in the list of parts
Don't forget the bonet pull catch. Great video as always 👍
I know this will be controversial but anyone who drinks or drugs drive should have there licence taken for good nice looking car & hopefully a quick repair look forward to seeing part 2 👍👍👍
A very nice car guys looks a easy repair for you both. You always do a good job no matter how big or small the damage is . Look forward to seeing it finished.
Nice car. The radiator looks a bit pushed in at the top? And the back wheel still looked a little further forward than the other side, but that may be just the suspension still needing to settle down after the knock. Good luck with it.
Great to see Chris back, Padstow holds special memories for me, had camping holidays for ten years on the trot with dear mum and dad back in late 60s early 70s. Use to take 10 to 12 hours to get there from Rochester Kent in an Austin A35 van and then a Morris 1000 traveller. Happy times. The Audi TT will look really special when you both have done the business on it. Cracking motor. ✊👍🚙
Nice look car and nice easy damage to repair good to see Chris back glad he had a good time. Top work and thanks for the video take care
Horns and bonnet pull handle Rob. Welcome back Chris, pleased you had a nice time away.
appreciating the variety of vehicles you get your hands on
Looks like a quick fix .mileage nowt my old 2003 a6 on 223000 miles. Nice to c u bk Chris. Robs been missing his coffee lol.great video guys.

Don't forget it needs a new bonnet release handle. Nice little car
Another fantastic video gents . Nice little car looking forward to seeing more of the repairs when parts arrive ,,,,
Lovely motor Rob really nice bit of kit let Chris work his magic love it guy's
2 horns also for the front. Probably any VAG group horns will have the same connector.
Great vid, guys! Nice new project.
Bonnet handle Padstow is lovely went there last summer hope you had a great time Chris 👍🏻
Hi Rob. I own a MK2 TT roadster and love it. Weak bonnet opening lever is a common issue, as is the failure of the damping effect on opening the glovebox, which I noticed on yours as it flopped down when you tried it. Broken hinges on the glovebox are also common. The lever on the damper breaks and as this also operates the switch for the glovebox light that stops working as well. Audi don’t offer repair kits and want hundreds of pounds for a complete glovebox assembly, so if you could invent a lasting fix you’d be a hero! Many others have made attempts using bits of metal and screws but none last. Keep up the good work - love the vids 😊
Good choice Chris, Padstow my favourite place. When down there visiting my family
another cracking video guys can't wait to hear the numbers on that motor and to see Chris turning he's hand to sort that rear panel out looking forward to what's next on the channel keep them coming guys and welcome back Chris glad you enjoy your time off 👍👍👍💯💯💯
Fantastic work Well done ☘️👍
Good to see Chris after well earned rest 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Hope that van driver had the book thrown at him ! too many of those out there. What if’s etc but if the TT driver was just getting out or walking thro the gap in front… doesn’t bare thinking about… licence rip up required at least…! 😮
Does that radiator look bent where the horns have hit it?
Lovely car rob , and a nice easy repair , good to see Dave back 😂good luck guys 👍👍
Hello Rob and welcome back Chris, that is a nice looking car , looking forward to the end result. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video . Ged.
Good luck with this Audi Rob. I'm sure it will turn out as excellent as all you and Chris's hard work achieves
good work boys good too see chris back in videos
From about 16:53 the rear shock looks as if it might be bent - at least the gap between the top cover and the lower tube does not look equal front to back. Could just be that the top cover has been moved but I would want to check the shaft is still straight.
Looks like a straightforward job gents, and mileage (it's done about 250 miles a week) is fine. Worth checking the Haldex unit though.... 👍
Start of another great journey. Lovely looking car. Can't wait to watch the two of you working your magic.
Hi I have a new rear bumper which has parking sensor hole. It’s an oe part from tps. It will have a part number inside let me know I will check mine. Great content and nice to see Chris back . Cheers
Get yourself a "Small Rig" Rob. The Rode receiver can stay attached, it's light and gives great camera control and there's no probs pausing and taking a call. Takes 10 seconds to attach the phone to the rig and they are cheap as chips. You can attach the other mic easily as well when you're out and about if you come across someone you want to chat to as well. And it'll screw straight onto your tripod!
Nice one Rob be all back together by morning 🤣 lovely little motor looks like a super quick turnaround
Great little car but still can’t get my head around the new schedule 😅
Bit of sunshine does make you feel good Rob 😎
Pair of horns?? Great result. Hope it goes smoothly. Good to see chris back. Cheers boys
Welcome back Chris, glad you enjoyed Cornwall, Rob was a sad boy without you around 😂. Rob, nice car, i like it
You can alu weld mig, it's a bit tricky, just make sure the torch cable is nice and straight ... I,m sure Chris will manage.
That's gonna be a stunner when you've worked your magic on it 😎
Great buy Rob! Great video as per usual :D
another good one , hope you had a good brake Chris.
New horns you mentioned once you removed the bumper. Nice car.
Hello Rob,nice work on the Audi TT,nice looking car, will be smart with the repairs done, hope Chris has had a great holiday.
Great car carnt wait to see the next video great work Rob and Chris keep up the good work 👍
Very nice car👍👍 well done Rob
With Chris metal working skills the rear quarter should repair very well.
Agreed - silly place for the horns. Reminds me of where they put the dizzy on the original Mini.
Not too shabby !...miss extra video but understand ...thanks.
Nice car good to Chris back love your video guys
Great videos guys. But, you keep saying enthusiastically that when a cars a diesel like it’s a bonus? Maybe from 20 years ago until up to 5 years ago but now they are a negative selling point and seen as the scourge of the road. With the new ULEZ’s coming into force across the UK they are not desirable as newer petrol or better a full battery electric. So, will you guys be going on an EV training HEVRA course and grab a nice slice of the new Pie?
Great car for the channel something a bit different, that quarter panel looks like it’ll be fun 👍🏻🏴
Looking forward to watching you work your magic on the Audi👍 very desirable car and we all know you and Chris will make it perfect 😀
Another brilliant video guys! You are both just ace at what you do 👍👍
The van must have hit the wheel quite hard to bend that suspension mounting, did the wheel or tyre sustain any damage Rob? I think the tyre might be suspect in that some of the rayon and steel cords might be damaged but you will know coz it will definitely not be round if you spin the wheel lol. Bit of luck if the rim hasn't been damaged. Nice car if you like skateboards!
Don’t forget the horns 👍🏼
Hi Rob and Chris a great car thankyou for a great video take care both 😉👍
That'll be a easy repair for you to lad's will look forward to progress keep up the good work. I get a lot of pleasure watching your video thanks Phil
Amazed the navigation is still in it considering it went to copart,
This should be a nice, quick and easy turnaround car for you again this time. Some work to stop Chris getting left out of things, but most of it is a nuts and bolts job, plus spares. As ever, paint will take a bit of time and the folding stuff which could take some of the shine off the moment, but not enough to remove the smiles from your faces.
Nice one lads very informative thanks 👍🇬🇧👍🇬🇧
We had a TT wrote it off sadly, really happy to see this video, that bonnet pull it's the cable gets stiff and the handle breaks off. One garage tried to blag us and *stick* the handle back on LOL . Lots of value ion the TT even old high mileage cars.
Looking forward to this project, another quality Vag,product, glad to hear Chris had a nice few days in Padsow,( did you eat at Rick steins?)Love your channel keep up the good work.
Nice little car and straightforward to get looking A1 again. I think you missed horns, crash bar and two coffees off the list! Great vid as always guys. Always enjoy your content. Thanks.
A very straightforward mend.Rob you are a wheeler dealer. Nice to see chris back on the channel. I am also glad he had a well deserved break with his patner.

Nice car mate. I am not a fan of the TT as a whole, but it's a nice sporty car that loads of people love, so I don't think you will be struggling to pass that one on :) It's interesting seeing that the TT is an Alu body as well. My Q7 is the same - at least no rust to worry about, but as I found out, it's a pain when you try to get rod holders for fishing rods, as they are all bloody magnetic 😄 One of the Q7 groups I am in regularly have guys with "moon mileage" on their cars. Most things that go wrong tend to be things like air suspension and electrics/electronics. The actual engines in VAG cars tend to be reasonably robust if taken care of, so that mileage on the TT wouldn't be a huge red flag, in my book.
Great content guys bet the Audi bits are a bit naughty I bet Chris can sort out the body work itl make great viewing watching Chris sort it
Done a few miles - but this one is 10 years old I suppose! Would be good to see the bonnet and quarter repaired. Looking forward to seeing the progress as usual. Audi definitely flavour of the month haha!
That rear shocker looks a bit bent 💯 have good check 🤙
That makes a refreshing change. Nice looking motor and possibly a quick repair. I assume the badge on the back is relevant, and I think I've sussed it. A GB badge means a car from the UK, so a TT badge must mean it is from the Isle of Man. Sorry!! Nice to see Chris back. Great video. Cheers, Bob
Hi rob in end you forgot horn need replacing. Also check that wheel/tyre is not buckle. May need to looking into wheel bearing osr. Wheel if need refurbishment. In end four wheel tracking of course you always does on every vehicle. May need to looking into if required oil and filter changes.
Lovely jubbly enjoyed 👍🏴
great car you and rob will have that done in no time will be a great watch
Cracking car, I've always regretted selling my diesel black edition TT. The wheel centre caps need replacing , they should be the same colour as the wheels. Looking forward to seeing the repairs and finished car.
Hi Rob had some experience with the bonnet pulls and buying them from ebay. I recommend you buy a genuine pull and the second part it mounts to under the trim. I went through multiple cheap ones to discover this. Genuine ones very reasonable money mate.
Bloody hell mate haven't watched u in a while ur already at 265k I saw u reach 100k not too long ago, keep up the work Rob & Chris.
Nice to see you back Chris rob you missed bonnet release and horns off your list great video as always 👍👍
Horns and bonnet release catch
Hi Rob and Chris, the bonnet handle and bracket(have been modified) you require are reasonably priced from TPS .About £15 for both bits.
Well done, that's gonna be a good one. That lower arm is so thin, it looks like it's a sacrificial component. 😉
