We bought a Westerly Centaur
I cant take credit for this Video, A big thanks to our good friend Kevin who made the video, and without him, we couldn't have moved our new yacht from Port Bannatyne on the Isle of Bute on the Scottish West Coast, up the River Clyde and through the Forth & Clyde Canal to the River Forth on the East Coast, we had great fun doing this but it was far from easy. The story started in August 2016 and its still being written.

I'm consider buying one over a Sadler 26. I'm a keen sailor for 25 years. The rest of the family not so much. Seems like a well behaved boat with a really spacious interior. Any thoughts? Luv and Peace.

As and addendum my dad and me sailed and cruised in a Sonata 7 then a saddler 26 then a couple of Moodies 32 and 336 then a Vancouver 34 pilot. The Vancouver in particular felt more like a ship. The lady was not for turning. The helm was more of a suggestion to be heeded in the future at some indeterminate moment. I get why he bought it so he can sail it from the wheelhouse Thanks but it's not sailing as I know it. The Sonata felt like a big Dinghy and I felt completely at Home. I'd like to know the sailing Nature of the Centaur. I've seen a lot around while cruising s they can't be bad. I come from a fast dinghy/skiff background but I've done a lot of keel boating on the boats mentioned. Happy to dial it back for a family holiday. Please give me your thoughts? Thanks. Luv and Peace.

I started 25 years ago in a Sonata, the Centaur is a great solid family boat, it’s far more stable in a good blow.
