THE TOTS. I've watched you and Kitra and Peter obsess over them. I salivate from the East Coast. I don't know how you guys survived an eating video. Eat the Menu style things always make me so nervous! I don't think I could do it. That's way more stamina than I'm capable of.

Likely the jambalaya.

I’m not sure why Knott’s is able to pull off all these tasting events BUT what I do know is Knott’s is very smart with their wording that describes this event on their website. It’s described as a “retail & food experience” & they also don’t mention that it’s a ‘ticketed event’, they say “purchase your tasting card” which I guess can be a reason to how they can pull it off, since the park necessarily isn’t open it’s just a outdoor dining experience. I’m just glad Knott’s is throwing FANTASTIC & SAFE events during these times!!! I love seeing Knott’s getting the recognition they deserve! 🙌🏼

I asked Knott's Berry Farm why she was much more opened than Disneyland and she said....... " I'm older and i have a lot more insurance "

So I would say that Knott’s is open the way it is because, without the rides open, it’s basically a mall. So if malls can be open so can they. I don’t know why Disney hasn’t done something like this. Reportedly, the first week Knott’s was going “A Taste of Calico” there were a BUNCH of Disney execs wandering around the event. So they must have been considering it.

Remember when you do tasting videos, you don't HAVE to eat ALL of it! Take a few bites, then pack the rest of it to take home (if you're able to leave and go back to the car and bring a cooler. )Pack it in the cooler and then come back to enjoy the other festivities ✌🏻

Knott’s started out as an actual farm. They had a road side stand. They added a restaurant with chicken dinners because California was making more actual roads and not just dirt roads to connect towns along the coast. A lot of towns grew because of the new roads and many had famous roadside restaurants. All the road side attractions are about California’s highways and how the state became so connected. For instance between Santa Barbara and Ventura people drove along the beach and up on wooden coasways built along the beach before the old Roosevelt Highway then later the 101. There are still old model T cars under the sand at surfers point in Ventura and posts in the sand at Emma Wood from the old wooden coasways. To see what it was like in old California watch China Town and The Two Jakes.

Nice video. Like how you made it look like a movie, especially with the intermission sequence. The open faced Ruben sandwich was amazing as well. You should have bought more drinks. Haha... Glad you have a good time. Fall-O-Ween was amazing when I went on Friday.

Such a fun video! I read some where that Knotts is zoned differently than Disneyland which is why it has been easier for them to open up.

panko is type of breadcrumb that's more flaky and commonly used in asian cuisine! most breaded and fried asian food, like tempura, uses panko :) i'd definitely go for the pastrami tots and funnel cake too!

Also, Disney layed off most of their park employees a few months into the pandemic and only recently rehired them. My brother and nephew work for Disney and were Layed off. My brother-in-law works for Knotts and he kept working.

Dunno if anyone has answered your question so here I go. Disney is not doing what Knotts is because the labor unions are more okay with people not having jobs versus relaxing their rules to "open" the parks.

Wolfman Jack was the host for Knotts Scary Farm before Elvira. Both were great!

So good! That was a duh moment later when we remembered.

Panko is just Japanese style breadcrumbs! Like what tempura would be coated with. Pan 'pahn' means bread. and ko 'koh' means child. So it literally means 'bread children' haha

I kind of love that Elvira is such a big part of the horror/pop culture lexicon that everyone knows and loves her. :) I also really love that Knott's has changed it up and manages to do fun stuff without their rides during this stuff with the virus.

Disneyland buffs that you are, you know that Steve Martin worked there. He also worked at Knott's. He was a regular player at the Bird Cage Theater. They used to perform melodramas in there with audience participation. Cheer the Hero, boo the Villain, sigh at the pretty Heroine. In the foyer, there used to be at least a wall of photos of previous performers. Steve Martin, of course, Lauren Tewes (Julie your Cruise Director on THE LOVE BOAT), Dean Jones (star of such Disney flicks as THAT DARN CAT and THE LOVE BUG), and Skip Young. "Who?" He was most known for playing Ricky Nelson"s oddly over aged frat brother on THE ADVENTURES OF OZZIE AND HARRIET). "The WHAT?" An old TV sitcom. I've told you, I'm old. I almost auditioned to work there but my wet-blanket of a step-father brow-beat me out of it. A pity, I'd've made a terrific Villain. Remember, never give up, never surrender!

Lego star wars the skyskywalker saga is definitely going to be the best game that I’ve ever played once when it comes out in spring 2021 and I think you guys are going to definitely enjoyed Lego star wars the skyskyskywalker saga as much as I enjoyed the gameplay trailer just like you guys did. You guys reminds me alot of cowboy and cowgirls when you have your masks on. And it taste exactly just like a slushee. And you guys saw ordinary adventures which is peter and kitra. Yep ash is 100 💯 percent is right . The park sits on the site of a former berry farm established by Walter Knott and his family. Beginning in the mid 1920s, the Knott family sold berries, berry preserves, and pies from a roadside stand along State Route 39. In 1934, the Knotts began selling fried chicken dinners in a tea room on the property, later called "Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant." The dinners soon became a major tourist draw, and the Knotts built several shops and other attractions to entertain visitors while waiting for a seat in the restaurant. In 1940, Walter Knott began constructing a replica Ghost Town on the property, the beginning of the present-day theme park. The idea of an amusement park really picked up in the 1950s when Walter Knott opened a "summer-long county fair." I don’t know if it was saying about Disney but I think that Disney was taking the inspiration from this theme park called knots berry farm. Fall owen like I’m falling in love 😻 for Halloween.

I have also wondered how Knotts is open and not Disney...Downtown Disney is not the same as the Knotts events. Huh...

Disneyland does have jambalaya over by Pirates of the Caribbean. It's vegan I believe.

@@AlwaysBelieve Yes they do. My new plan is get 3 cards for 2 people and drink 3-4 alcohols each (over the 3+ hours we're there) with the rest of the tastes being for food. And the cost per drink ends up similar (if not a little cheaper) than if you bought drinks separately. I'll be there again the weekend before Halloween.
