Oh, if I could get my wife to go with the minimalist look! Our house is a hodgepodge of her mother's knick knacks, doilies on everything, and "people pictures" I can't stand. Do I REALLY have to look at her dad in his Viet Nam camos from 1965 forever? I might volunteer to dust if there wasn't dustcatchers on every horizontal surface. Anyway, good luck with your remodel! The electrical outlet in the closet is a BIG thumbs up! Boot warmers, Roomba station, oh yeah!

When I updated our house, I used the recessed led lights. I used 2 over the fireplace, 2 in my laundry room, 3 down my hallway and 2 in my entryway. We also placed them in the eaves around the outside of our home.

Canned lights are the best! Excited to see it when it’s done 😍

Woooo, so helpful video. As for the closet light, guess you may install a motion sensor light here. So every time when you need to find clothes, it can light automatically.

Hi! Hey, would you consider extending your closet out to the left, and eliminating the brown dresser, and dividing wall entirely? Seems like the space above the dresser is also wasted space. With the right organizer system, you could have a really big closet.

I came to say the same thing!! That would be a great closet with shelves and hanging areas. They won't need that chest of drawers.

Omgosh. $220 for electrician to install two can lights, switches and an outlet is a HUGE steal. A single outlet alone costs $350 where I live. 😓

Have you thought of making your closet dresser area a large closet with built ins. As in a custom closet system you could still have drawer space if that’s your concern.

You could always put the drawers at the bottom then you wouldn’t have to worry about the floor it would be covered.

I'm curious, if you like to do DIY why aren't you patching the old light fixture holes? It's very easy to do and watching some KZread videos and it would take you not time at all and save you money.

Off topic but I’ve noticed another young lady(coopers girlfriend) that seems to be excluded every time you and nave are hanging out. Maybe you could explain why like that she’s in school,work,just shy or simply doesn’t want to be on camera.
