Visuals is a subjective opinion, not to mention Porsche builds everything themselves, not like this car which has a chassis not made by BMW.

@@Stance1988 porsche also outsourced their chassis. It races as LMDH not hypercar. Porsche uses a chassis build by multimatic but designed by porsche. Bmw got theirs build by dallara. While Toyota or Peugeot compete as hypercar, so they build everything in house.

Honest enough to show the difficulties faced with such a new car project. Regardless such an exciting time for BMW and Sports car racing. As a BMW fan I can't wait to see it race.

In LMP1, I was a Porsche supporter. You made it work, that I'm way more excited for your car now. Great scenes and I hope you all will have big achievements together

This is probably one of the coolest behind the scene documentaries any OEM has made. By covering the Porsche launch and even showing these moments when the engine stalled... this is what I call true authenticity! Very well done, congrats to the whole team and good lord... I can't wait for the 2024 24 hours of Le Mans!

its so awesome with the back lights of the m4 csl and the front grill, most companys dont achieve making lmp cars look like their road cars but BMW really achieved it with the details!

Stunning but menacing! Amazing work!

My thoughts first: "Oh they will romanticize the development and rollout of a car, everything is fine, no problems, the car is perfect, that's not how it really loo.." Car doesn't run the first time Neither does it on the 2nd try 3rd try it runs but not on full power yet ... "Nevermind, that's more like it."

Once I rebuild my sim setup imma be putting in hours upon hours in the M4 GT3 and hopefully this beautiful machine once it drops on rFactor 2. Not gonna stop until I'm good enough to earn a seat with my favourite brand, BMW, Makers of Ultimate Driving Machines.

Enjoy it. It's probably the last M car. G 80 was a HUGE disappointment (too heavy and a... allow me to laugh... with a torque converter!!) in every way. More gimmick than substance.

@@TheRealDr.Mabuse How is it a disappointment? The torque converter works well. It allows you to drive the car comfortably as a daily driver and is not as jerky as the DCT transmission. This new torque converter can shift gears in as little as 150 milliseconds. The new M4 CSL is the fastest BMW ever around the Nurburgring with a time of 7:15. As a comparison, the 991 911 GT3 RS did it in 7:20 and the previous M4 GTS did it in 7:27. Also the M4 CSL is only about 14 kg heavier than the previous M4 GTS. So I really can't see how this new generation is a disappointment when they're literally better at almost everything.

@@getburked3739 M cars used to be about motorsport and lates iteration seems to be more of a GT targeted for wealthy rich men that never track their cars. It just doesn't deliver that racing feeling in the same way. And for me TC is simply a big no-no. If TC "works well" why haven't we seen them in F1 cars? Or in a Porsche...? CSL might be lighter, but is also a limited edition. Not many who can get their hands on it so it's not really relevant to be compared with. When it comes to lap-times, I really don't care as it doesn't define a car. But Porsche 911 GT3 RS travels around the Nordschliefe in 6:43.300.

Except BMW lol - when you say "dominate" you refer to MB, Porsche or Audi, but never to BMW. They were never a big successful name in real motor sports and instead of investing in a motor sports program they should be fixing their M products. AMG is killing it for years now.

Nice profile, nice rear, but the front is pretty ugly - reminds me of the situation of recent M models. Sad, but hopefully the technic is great.

First, if all of the other M cars are based on the six cylinder turbo, why would this be an eight? Also we need BMW to produce a light weight sports car, and not "sports cars" made off saloon chassis, and ones where you feel and are connected to the road. I loved BMW, but they are now so large, so heavy and such long wheel basis.

M3/4 are barely heavier than a 911 or AMG GT. Not sure what are you comparing it to, but this is what cars are like in 2022...

I'm not a fan of where the automotive industry is going. Always prefer older bmw's. The hybrid ev era is not for me.

I am skeptical!!! BMW is not the same as some years befor! Its not the M3 flavoured stuff, we know from the ALMS. Its a lot of SHOW and thats it! Get your stuff right and get back to vitory lane! Its a shame to see you guys been some "extra" on track. Too much storys beside the track! I dont know.....man....

I remember a time, the BMW racecars had 750kg and 300+ hp. No traction control, no abs, no asc, no power steering - just a body an engine a set of brakes tyres and the driver. Now 50 years later the cars weigh 1.5 tons have 25 cpus to cover the things the drivers are not able to do - from 20 mechanics 15 are playing with a laptop - and they call it progress. 640 hp with 2 turbos out of 4 liter volume from an engine that has naothing to do with any stock engine is a joke. This 1.5l 4 cylinder bastard from the past delivered 2 times the power with 37% of that volume. Thank god i was part of the 4 cylinder DTM - so i will never forget what real racing is.............

I stood next to Bruno Spenglers BMW Bank DTM M4 with the mentioned 4 cylinder engine just before the race at the legendary Nürburgring. The sound these engines emitted were just unique and outstanding. I will never forget this experience
