Legion at no point were able to convince a single good player to vote to kill another good player. Tempest and Dom were both killed at storyteller discretion because of how well the good team was playing. Would have been very unfair to hand the win to the evil team in that scenario.
I love Daddy Ben but I think it would have been extremely unfair to let the evil team win. The good team never eliminated a good player, the storytellers killed both Dom and Tempest. Which means the only reason there was an evil player in the last three is because the storytellers decided not to kill them. Saying the evil team deserved the win because you decided not to kill them in the night is very harsh on the good team.
Have to agree with those disagreeing with Ben's claim that the Evil team played "really well" and probably should have won. Evil failed utterly the entire game and the only reason anyone good died was because the storytellers killed two of them out of pity because LEGION was outnumbered 2-1 by good at one point. This has to be the most onesided game of Blood on the Clocktower so far and the only reason this looks close is because of storytellers balancing like mad people.
Absolutely wonderful game, though the first time I've disagreed with Daddy Ben. I dont feel evil deserved it at all, good had a bumpy second to last day, sure, but All good player kills were by the storytellers because evil couldn't execute any good players up to that point. Yes, they played a hell of second to last day but that was it.
Carley as storyteller in a game with an Atheist (all players are good and need to decide to execute the storyteller) on the script would be amazing. The whole team would be so paranoid and you'd get to see her evil genius really shine.
The carley storyteller reveal is one of the best moments so far in this series and did a great job
Evil really struggled at the beginning of the game and just threw suspicion at their own teammates rather than getting good to distrust each other. They started to get their feet under them towards the end but it was too little too late. Good team really only made the one mistake of executing at final 4, which I think is mostly lack of experience, so I'm glad Ben and Carley let it continue another day. Evil only got to final 3/4 because Legion doesn't allow there to be less than 2 good players without it being an automatic game loss, so I have to disagree they earned it reaching the final day, especially since a good player was
100% right decision to let last day happen. Good deserved it fully they had them evil on the ropes with 4 legions in a row - desperate interventions were required to even give evil a chance.
good game - BUT! - Legion didn't killed a single good player, thus i highly disagree with the notion, that they "deserved" the win. Playing out the last day was the right choice.
Player agency is important. If the storytellers gave the game to the evil team despite them not causing the demise of any of the good team members, you'd have courted a lot of controversy
Underrated moment, Brooke: "Adam, you've done a great job of manipulating my boyfriend"
That one-on-one convo between Adam and Sully when they decided to back each other is the stuff dreams are made of.
Adam gets a one: pained groan
Spoilers:
Studies show that three out of every four villagers are the empath.
I think Sully’s fake meltdown at
Really enjoyed Pete’s contribution of holding up a sign saying Sully is drunk very smugly even though he wasn’t
Sully freaking out about Blaire’s death is probably my favorite singular moment in BotC history.
In defense of their decision to play out the last round, there wasn't a single good player who died by execution. They would have all died as a result of the demon, meaning there wasn't a single legion player who convinced the good team to execute one of their own. It's better to play it out to the end in that case in my opinion.
In a game with 6 bad guys and 4 good guys
