We have Carib communities in St. Vincent. My Dad is a proud Carib. Also, our national hero was a Garifuna by the name of Joseph Chatoyer.

I am from St. Lucia and my great grandfather was Kalinago and my grandmother was Kalinago and Arawak. Don’t forget us.

My grandma a Dominican Kalinago, half Carib half Arawak made Kalinago Princess Amelia💜🎉 We Darand from Petite Soufriere, warriors bath in the rivers!!! Love us💪🏾🇩🇲👑

My wife is from Dominica. She also is kalinago. We are going back to Dominica to visit soon. Very excited to visit her country. I'm Chickasaw from America. Again I know I will enjoy her rich culture. Shalom

Same people I believe. Lived in upstate NY near the Akwesasne reservation and always though the natives look exactly like my Kalinago people. I think through ages of migration "the people" settled all throughout the Americas and the Caribbean. Some mixed some stayed pure. Hence the similar features..the hair the eyes.. the nose sometimes

I am Garifuna, Kalinago.Carib.African from Belize. I am hoping to visit Dominica at the end of this month and it is a must that I connect with the descendants of my ancestors! If there is anyone from Kalinago ancestry who I can connect with I would appreciate it!

Majority of Dominicans are Kalinago , Grands and Great Grands on both sides of my family are Kalinago.

I am St. Lucian and was always told we were of mixed Kalinago decent and this was confirmed through DNA testing. I am so proud to be a part of the indigenous people. It's my dream to visit the Kalinago Territory to learn more about my people

My wife of 30 yrs says she is carib , her mother was kalingo not sure what it makes her but she grew up just south of Vieille Case. Hopefully we will be visiting Dominica in the new year

At the 8:30 point in this clip Mrs. Sylvanie Burton, she was recently selected by the present Dominican administration to become the next President of Dominica 🇩🇲. That should be on October 1st 2023, when the sitting President's term is over.

kalinago never had straight hair, ya''ll are a mixture of Ho Shen who came across the berin straight and mixed in with the wolly haired Olmec originals who were already here! go read the "rise and fall of the Black Caribs"

Kalinagos do have straight hair, like other Amerindian ethnic groups. The text you mentioned provides this information too...

@@terralexj9468 yeah but the current narrative portrays them as if they were the originals when they are not, they mixed in with us when they came on this side of the planet, so thats why i had to point it out because they tell their story without saying who their parents are
