HAHAHA me to. Tractors are so cool.
What a treasure you are! Many would have just stayed home, collapsed, after a full day of plowing their own...you went the extra mile and also helped a neighbor, which is still an undertaking!
Mrs. W wont be starting seeds for some time now! Unless she starts them indoors. :)
I remember doing a lot of plowing for me and the neighbors one year. It's always a pain remembering where your stuff is much less guessing where the neighbors have stand pipes, decorations or landscaping.

I have to say i have a great deal of respect for you for helping your fellow man it warms my heart to see there are still great people out there.
Hey Cody,I'd offer a bit of advice but it looks like the snow blower will cure all your ails. Well maybe someone else watching your channel can use this advice. Get yourself a rocket stove and run some copper pipe through it to heat up the pipe. Then you get yourself a garden hose maybe 50 to 100 feet and get that connected to the copper pipe. Check for leaks. When it's good to go fill the hose with a glycol mix (eco friendly of course). Lay out the garden hose in the snow and fire up your rocket stove and watch that snow melt. Once you get down to bare ground just push more snow on the hose with the tractor. Cheers, Bill

William Walter I gotta a buddy in SE Idaho that does this for a business. He uses some kind of piping and puts it in the ground under the driveways and it keeps that driveway clear and dry year round. That's saying something for a place that sees below zero weather for the majority of the winter months. Works great! As a side note, it runs off the city electric hot water tank in the home it's hooked up to. The rocket stove idea is an awesome one! 👍

There has been almost no winter in Virginia. Just a few cold days. Just because it snows somewhere doesn't mean there's no global warming. Take a look at trends rather than weather. *Weather is different than climate.* Do some basic research about glaciers, see how they have shrunk over the past decades. Climate change is real. Who/What is responsible for that climate change? I'm not sure, I'm not a scientist. Can we (mankind) do something about it? I am very skeptical something can be done. But it IS REAL.

Then I watch a video like this and realise not all the world is consumed by commercialism and greed, thank you for being an inspiration to us all Cody.
Wow! Definitely a winter for the record books. As a trucker, I drive back and forth through the Cascade mountains, this winter has put a serious damper on our day to day operation.
I have family that lives near the same area as you do. What they did years ago was built a pole building near the highway, (about 2 miles from the house) and in the winter they park the trucks and cars in it and then just snowmobile from it to the house so that they don't need to do nearly as much plowing.
I'm so glad I live in a place where the foot of snow that we just got is a very rare occurrence.
Vancouver BC, a suburb named Surrey is where I live. We're getting our 3rd or 4th dump of snow right now. Scheduled to turn to rain, then supposedly heavy rain tomorrow. My snow removal unit.... our 40 year old metal craftsman snow shovel my old man bought in the 70's

Man I wish we could have some of that snow here in England :(
I saw this situation shaping up (and called it) a few months ago. The plow is the wrong tool for your long lane -- you need a snowthrower! You've got those high banks now, and nowhere to push the new snowfalls. The tractor's bucket might work to gouge the banks away, but it will be a lot of work.
@dougdobbs
7 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the bucket would serve to remove the banks. But that's a lot of time and energy...
My JD 3010 has a rear mounted snow blower and bucket on the front. It's good to take out the big snowdrifts and has more power than is needed. I love that tractor.

u are a GREAT GUY TAKING Care of ur neighbors
plowing snow for your neighbors always pays off in spades!
The last generation was so much tougher. Loved to see he was out shoveling when you arrived..
I was born and raised in Michigan and in 1965 when I was 5 my dad bought a 1941, Fergeson-Ford 9N tractor. Starting at that age we plowed gardens, leveled yards, did landscaping and anything we could to make a little side money and yes I plowed a LOT of snow in my life! My absolute favorite time of my life was with working with my dad with that old tractor. I lost my dad when I was 23 and I miss him as much as when it happened but I have my memories. :). I hope that your son and you make the same memories and that you have a really longed lived life together.
It's such a blessing that you were able to get that tractor this year. God sure is watching out for the Wranglerstar family and neighbors.
Love watching snowplow videos while sitting in my office with the windows open and fans going. 79* today.
we just got over 18" on our ranch a few days ago. just recently got power back. We've been hand pumping water like settlers for 3 head of horses and a goat herd.
That tractor is a blessing and at the right time.
really appreciated the help Cody! That snow storm was intense...so much so quickly...hard to stay on top of it all.
I sooo hate snow..Im so thankful winter here in Kentucky has been nice mostly. We've seen a few 65 degree days already in febuary
I love your neighbor generosity. I did the same for my neighbor and now my son does it for him for me. This keeps me watching.
You deserve even more credit than people give you, giving up your own day to take care of your neighbors and letting them park in your driveway. I am so glad that there are people like you that are willing to do such a thing. All the power to you Cody.
I have two questions 1.I am 14 years old and my family b is planning on moving this summer to a place with some land and me and my father will have a shop but my father works in the oilfield and is gone alot do you think I could build the bench you are building by myself. My next question is what would be a good first chainsaw my dad has a large sthil but it is a bit much for me to handle because I am only 5 ft 4 and weigh about 130 lbs. thx and I love all of your videos
Over in the Hells Canyon area It's been snowing for over 24 hours and we had a 5 hour power outage last night. Stoked up the wood stove and turned on the LED Laterns and played a board game with the wife and kids. It's just now beginning to switch to rain.
Growing up the neighbors on either side of me were in their 70's when I was a teenager and my dad and I would always plow their driveways for them and it might seem selfless, but the gratitude that they gave me was more than enough payment.
I loved this video. Here in England if we get 2 inches of snow in total the town grinds to a halt. Any traffic out in it comes to a standstill. People abandon there cars, even 4 x 4`s. If we get at much snow as you have there, even once in 10 years its a national disaster. Respect to you all.
Wrangler star I have quick question. How does the yanmar tractor do on fuel consumption. With all the snow plowing and etc was wondering if you get fuel delivery there or do you have enough for it .even with the bulk tank in garage.
How nice to be able to share such a good tool with your friends and neighbors!!
WOW, It looks like when we were in upstate NY in the snow belt. The snow was so high that we could climb into the 2nd floor of the apartment. One of the reasons I move further south. We had two days in the high 70's and low 80's. LOL
I am glad to see wonderful people who are willing to volunteer. my 9 yr old is now volunteering at the Tomah Wi. VA
You guys stay safe. I wore shorts on a day hike yesterday here in Georgia.
When I lived in a different neighbourhood in my own house, l bought a chinese motorisized rotating brush, about 7 feet wide and 3 feet in diameter, made for brooming sidewalks. It was a great tool, strong enough for getting the snow off the driveways and sidewalks we usually have in our aerea in South Germany. Two feet of snow that may fall over night have been no problem for the brush. It threw the snow more than 10 feet. I cleaned literally all the sidewalks and garage driveways, often every few hours when it was snowing a lot. I gave the motorbrush to a protestant church I where I allways went to for worship Jesus and the Lord, as I moved to another part of the city as a present. The janitor of the church was really happy with it.
Glad to hear Yanmar will have a snowblower attachment, because you could certainly test the hell out of it this winter! Helping the older neighbors is a great thing we all need to do, it is respectful and pays in making us better neighbors!
That is a lot of snow. You are a good man for sharing your tractor with those who don't have one. I remember before you had your own tractor, one of your neighbours lent you theirs. That is what makes for great community, neighbours helping neighbours.
Whew - we dodged that SNOW Bullet! Raining here North of Portland but we are at less than 1000 feet. Glad to see snow disapperaring here and was amazed to see you hammered as well as Starr and others in Idaho.
So yeah... If you could send some of that snow our way (northern Sweden), that'd be perfect. I can walk over the lawn with slippers and not get snow on my feet here. Something's wrong with our weather and this little snow will mean costly electricity bills for a lot of people come summer (hydro plant reservoirs won't get filled with the melt-off).
I love watching this. Gives me faith in humanity. Also it's fun to see what weather is headed my way. Just north of Yellowstone in Montana and I can always count on your videos to show how bad a storm might be. Good on you Cody, need more people out there that go out of their way for each other.
You have to clear the snow off your roof again also. It never ends.
You really have a lot of snow now. Good you have this great tractor YANMAR. Look forward to see it with the snowblower it will be amazing. We would love to have some of that snow here in the midle of Norway. The last year we dont have much snow. but its a lot of darkness, and then the snow is great to make it more light. Hope it stops for you now. Best wishes from Jan in Norway
This is one of the few reasons I'm happy to live in Texas
My wonderful neighbor also does this for us and other neighbors with his tractor, thank you and him
what about the camper do you clean it off just curious
Back in Minnesota in the 1950s we used a large snow bucket on the manure loader and that worked good for picking up snow and dumping it in piles out of the way.
At the beginning of the vid, you said, "...Jeff, the real Martian??"...I re-ran it several times and it sounds the same each time!! Do you know something that the rest of us doesn't know?? LOL

There's a guy named Jeff, who Cody got started on KZread. He's experimenting with growing food on his farm much as pioneers on Mars might have to do. Thus... The Real Martian. :) Search for him on YT and you'll find his channel.
and yet up in Northern Canada we have hardly any snow. Not even enough to go snowmobiling on the trails. You can on the lakes but its not good. This is the least amount of snow we have got in a winter since I can ever remember. Normally at this time we would have a couple feet. This year 3-4 inches if you are lucky. Been awesome for collecting firewood though, can drive the truck through the swamps because they are frozen solid, can quad anywhere in the forest to collect it. Kind of been a nice winter. But still very cold! Not good for the ol septic tank with no snow to insulate it! Line froze up this year first time ever!
You know, watching the snow moving in front of you with more snow falling in the gloaming just looks like a mesmerizing, somewhat meditative experience...kind of like sitting on a cold day watching a campfire...

PS- You ever think of how to add weight on the back for traction, or fill back tires with fluid?
Love the evergreens covered in snow. Love your taking care of your neighbors. If you get too much snow, as you know, put the bucket back on and just make piles... I don't have a plow on my Kubota, but making piles is easy with the bucket. I can even move them if I need more room!
And here I am in Louisiana with 80 degree weather! Send that cold snowy weather down here!
The white snow sure does remind me of how Jesus sees my soul!
I would love to live here! Where is this? Love all that snow! It's great how you are helping all the neighbors, (i would be doing the same thing, if i had the equipment available) hopefully some of them compensate you in some way, and not just take advantage of a situation.
I'm glad it finally stopped snowing here at my house . I live at about 5000 feet in elevation on the east side of the Sierras and it is still snowing at the higher elevations. I think this is the same storm you have been dealing with.
Saw the forecast for the Northwest, snow and more snow. Thanks for helping Russel and Jeff out. Can see how that tractor has been a Godsend. Looking forward to that snowblower.
Nice helping your neighbors out Cody, I remember those winter days with fighting the snow..
Sometime ago you said that you were fed up with Hughesnet and dropped that service. What service did you go with. I don't have any access to internet besides Hughesnet and am having considerable trouble trying to watch You Tube videos and would like to switch to something more compatible with videos. Any suggestions?
when the snow banks are 12 ft high in your driveway , then your getting into trouble
What did you do before you got the Yanmar? Is this the most snow you've gotten since you have lived there?
Really relaxing riding along. Nice at the end of a long day. Thanks!
We get snow like this in Northern Indiana, but only once in a great while. We're supposed to get some snow today but the forecast calls for temps in the 50s this weekend. Country people are the best.
So it's 80-f in SC today lol. We have been running the AC. I wish we had snow. This summer is not going to be good at all.
Wish we had some of that... in Australia we are having 115F days...
in the beginning of the winter i did maintenance on the snowblower i tried it then and i havent used sens then, i have got in total 1 inch of snow so far .......
I wish we had that much snow in Texas
I got a Lucknow 7ft 3 point hitch unit, works great but have not hooked it up for 2 seasons, no snow in western pa.
a problem I've had over the years was my wipers getting frozen to the windshield, some folks put them up so when it comes time to clean the windshield they're not in the way.
hey cody i have a question for you im thinking about moving to the country and was wondering do you get a lot of random people just showing up out of the blue and if so is there a way to stop it
Makes sense on the external pump . I have a pto mounted unit on my Massey 88 to run the bucket . The on board hydraulics are a little weak for the job
Watching this video makes me so homesick! I miss the mtn so much. Thanks for posting wranglerstar, takes me back.
So far we have had no show.you are a very kind person..Zane
I can honestly say I absolutely love waching your videos!....I suffer terrible from anxiety a struggle to sleep at night and I allways wach a few of your videos before going to bed I find them so therapeutic it's stuff like this particular video could wach for ages. your living the life I dream of (wich is something that isn't achievable in the uk) even struggles such as this in your video just seem so enviable!
