Just to prove David Starkey was talking rubbish about we don't have a separation of powers. From the liberty judgment (and don't forget what the Queen said in 1988 to parliament). "115. The principles of Parliamentary sovereignty and the separation of powers have their genesis in the common law and it the duty of the courts to protect those principles. In Miller II the Court stated that deciding an issue of legality: “34. … will not offend against the separation of powers. As we have just indicated, the court will be performing its proper function under our constitution. Indeed, by ensuring that the Government does not use the power of prorogation unlawfully with the effect of preventing Parliament from carrying out its proper functions, the court will be giving effect to the separation of powers.” The issue under Grounds II and III is whether those constitutional principles are violated when the Executive uses a statutory power to make subordinate legislation for an object and purpose which it has earlier failed to achieve by primary legislation." The won on this point - separation of powers. Her Majesty the Queen made a declaration to BOTH house of parliament on 20th July 1988 stating the independence of the Judiciary is the corner stone of our constitution. paraphrasing. Betty Boothroyd said similar to the courts in 1993. Ashby vs White 1703 was about the right to vote and enforcing separation of powers (you cannot be a Judge in your own cause, ENGLISH maxim. That’s because the authors were in the club. Eric Blair (George Orwell) was introduced to the Fabian Society by Aldous Huxley, writer of Brave New World. There, Orwell learned the elite’s future plans. So he wrote a novel that’s supposed to be fiction. Orwell didn’t predict anything. He saw the script: cashless society; mass surveillance; world government etc. He named his novel 1984 as homage to the Fabian’s centenary. The real year is around now.

Echoing Trevisio here, many people think 1984 describes the Eastern Bloc and the Soviet Union. That is true but more importantly it describes everyone else, especially the West. It is not politicians use 1984 as a textbook. It is more of 1984 describing how politicians of every corner of the globe operate.

We failed at the AV referendum because we fail at public discourse. Why? Because the media are owned and controlled by the elite class. So it's impossible to actually discuss issues in the mainstream. AV's opponents declared "one man one vote, as our grandparents fought for" and framed AV as a chance for the "losers" to "cheat". arguments in favour of AV were buried because they couldn't simplify the benefits enough to be able to land a point through our mediated media channels into our declining attention spans.

The issue with the Equality Act, just like with Human Rights and some others, is it leaves space for bad actors to manipulate it to their own nefarious ends. Law needs grey areas to allow for legitimate unforeseen events to be judged, but it is these spaces in which the duplicitous operate too! What we saw under Blair was the triumph of the Fabian Long March Through the Institutions which Blair celebrated by dedicating the Fabian Stained Glass Window paid for by George Bernard Shaw in 2010 and which displays their then ambition to destroy English sovereignty and replace it with a totalitarian dictatorship. Orwell was at one time a Fabian and 1984 is a warning against their actions rather than as claimed condemnation of the Soviet Union.

You might want to look at one of its original EEC founders and commissioners, Walter Hallstein, and ask why a former NSDAP sycophant such as him, helped to create what would become the EU. It was never for our benefit in the end.

Not recognising London, especially the language being spoken by younger people - white kids wanting to sound like Jamaicans and the nihilism spawn from this cultural shift. David nailed this in a Newsnight interview and was pilloried for it .. but he was accurate in his social observation .....have been watching his broadcasts the last 14 years, this one being the most insightful. BLiar was nothing more than an opportunistic charlatan. He's actually of aristocratic lineage, there's the Blair Athol estate in Perthshire. He was educated at Fettes College, the Scottish equivalent of Eton. Blair was probably molded into the creature he became at this serpentine institution. He became an MP in 1983, aged 29 following a brief career in law in which, he never passed the B.A.R. exam. I believe the marriage to Cherie Booth was more than likely orchestrated to make BLiar appear 'working-class'. She was just another opportunistic entity who knew that her husband would go far in politics (She never truly liked her humble roots). Now, the matter of John Smith's death. Highly suspicious if you ask me. The Establishment had already begun the infiltration of the Labour Party since Kinnock's tenure but Smith wanted to retain unions, worker's rights, secure borders and less control from Brussels. The Establishment didn't like this. Smith's convenient death in 1994 opened the door for BLiar and the rest is history.

Weakness of government has led us to this point coupled with the lack of understanding of our recent history and how our society was created since the magna carta. Most politicians are uneducated and inept particularly those in the labour party who are almost to a man entirely inexperienced. As Peter Hinkins recently commented 'because a government is percieved as incompetent they may not actually be doing any harm and as such should not be excluded from continuing.' Change for the sake of it which appears to be coming will be catastrophic for the UK!

So, we have the current government, which is dreadful. Then we have a potential Labour government, which is just as dreadful. Reform is an alternative, but because of our voting system, it's unlikely they will get more than a few MP's. We really are screwed this time. What the hell does the average person do in this situation ? This is pie in the sky thinking, but it would be nice if we could have a government which actually put the country first, not themselves.

a new law should be passed that if a party that leads the country hasnt met a minimum of 70% of their pledges either by the third quarter or end of their run, and have either been found to be corrupt or just plain incompetent then they should be made to miss the next general election, therefore giving other parties a chance to break this madness of the same two over and over, it may make the parties sort their backyards out and we may get a better quality parliament.

Our history is not the same as the history of America and yet the conflation of the two is one of the things which has led to our current nightmarish situation and the rise and rise of victimhood, tribal loyalties and the loss of freedom speech. Keir Starmer is planning on building on the Blair legacy with more of the same e.g a new blasphemy law specifically in response to Muslim demand. Terrifying.
