Ted dear child just be careful and alert while going to these sort of places. All are not as simple as you think. Some are too greedy and don't know the value of your generosity. I think it is this greed that forces them to snatch from the hands of the doner rather than wait patiently for their turn. It was a good decision to leave that group and move on to another place to distribute the mosquito nets. Anyways love what you do and may God help and guide you everywhere you go. I used to give stuff to "homeless" people on the roads and streets like this even when my father advised me against it. One day he _showed_ me how the children are held in gangs and if you give anything to them (including food) they will give it to their leaders. If you give them new stuff they (the gang leaders/adults) will sell it to earn money that many use for alcohol. It is really sad. Since this year I have also faced many situations in which children will almost snatch food and little things here and there. They will gather around in groups and many of them are drug addicts. Yes, children. I would happily give if they eat it themselves but they don't. I got to know that these children's families are given shelter and homes to live in but they sell the houses they get from government/NGO schemes for money. Even if you give them water bottles they will try to fill unhygienic water in them and sell on roads. It is really heart-wrenching, don't know who to trust anymore. Please stay safe. It is good to give but always stay safe. I learned the hard way as well. I wish I could change everything. I wish everyone finds peace. Thank you for what you do.
