There are actually a TON of great characters in this game. This game wasn't made with an american audience in mind, and when they released it here, they gave all the characters who weren't in WCW at the time funny names to avoid licensing fees.

Bad blood was my favorite character

Never had this one. I had wcw vs nwo world tour....

Any fighting tips in this game? I kept getting my butt kicked in many matches... Sometimes I feel the AI can anticipate my every move...

I had this game. Played it a lot.

The ring was huge

WHAT'S THIS?! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!

Is there a way to exit the ring? And can you throw your opponent out the ring besides getting a lucky hit? I remember as a kid purposely throwing my opponent out the ring, taunting, and repeating till I got my spirit up. Now i can’t figure out how to even get out the ring. I remember making fun of the ref’s voice cause the way said 13 when counting, and I remember being surprised the count went up to 20. But now I’m like locked in the ring.

Who's the question mark (???) below Scott Steiner? At GameFAQs, it says both Jeff Jarrett and The Giant (Paul Wight) are unlockable characters, but that's one hidden character space. So whoever that is, where does the other guy go?

I've never played this, but I'm a huge fan of THQ's series on the N64. No disrespect to anyone that loved this game back in '96, but this is a great example of how terrible sound effects and lack of music can really hurt the atmosphere and overall quality of a game. Also, why is Hollywood Hogan wrestling in sunglasses, a shirt, and little brown shoes, and why is Rick Steiner kipping up?

Game had some snappy wrasslin music and not that 2 min looping bullshit either alot of rings to wrassle in all with their own music your just a rigid asshole millennial that doesn’t appreciate a simpler more primitive game that has set the stage for those piece of shit WWE games that been dropping since after the “No Mercy” N64 game hogan had on his initial make shift nWO suit after turning heel and hes hollywood hogan he rock sunglasses while wrasslin fuck off lol and everyone kips up when their spirit is at MAX

Loved this game.

This is my all time favorite wrestling game.

stormrider777 and Saturday Night slam masters for me..That was the ECW/ FMW of 90’s wrestling games

Kensuke vs. Farmer is a good attract mode.

The mix of anime portraits for WCW guys and cg renders for the rest was strange. Hogan was such a tsundere as NWO.

Dude how do you flip your opponent when he's lying on the ground so you can do back submissions

Watching you get destroyed was great 👍

We use to create titles and then challenge each other lol

Leelo McFly mines a 2009 slim model which is ps1 compatible, not all ps3s play ps1 games tho

I don't even think it works on mine. Mine's the 149gb fat model. I have a dirty disc, and it plays all the way to the match loading screen. Maybe the game's just incompatible with the older consoles.

@@WorldofWrestlingGames That's not true! every ps3 model should play PS1 games. Only the original 60gb and 20gb played PS2 aswell.

Tony atlass all you have to do is put the original ps1 game into your ps3 and it will play.

@@brendenbyrne114 I guess I'm a purest. I'm thinking of moving my PS3 to a room that has a CRT TV in it to better enjoy my PS1 and PS2 games.

The last time I played this game....a possible glitch made a wrestler explode in pieces with a punch...then the camera drifted off into the crowd and beyond🤣has this ever happened to anyone??

Da Main Mane for me it was the wrestler split into many triangular pieces and he looked like a huge insect in the ring..me and my friends uncle were calling him moth man that bout..incidentally I won with “moth man” with a glitchy hurrican-rana we dubbed “the cocoon”

After playing smackdown and no mercy - this game looks like shit
