Paramount Global may be a better bet. The company has a better balance sheet and is able to transition to streaming profitably. However, the latest quarter may be a one-off outlier, considering the movie successes (i.e. Top Gun: Maverick, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, etc.). Without any major movies lined up until March 2023, I am worried that investors may be "shocked" by the stagnant revenue and increasing expenses for the upcoming quarters (i.e. lower revenue from movies, offset by streaming subscriber growth).

Thank you for quality programming. What you are describing here is accurate - the flight to safety to the US stock market and dollar. This is what is keeping the market going at this time and preventing a crash. This "melt UP" phase will go on for a while, then as the global economy crashes so will US markets only harder due to the "No Win scenario" that has been created by so much obscene debt. Next comes the "Default Phase" with mega-massive bankruptcies and lastly "Asset Seizures" where banks and the Fed government will simply declare an extreme national emergency to justify the crisis and debit your account directly. The fools will think that this could never happen. The actual legislation for this type of action is already in place. My advice to anyone feeling the heat in this inflation, just trade long term more than ever, I have made over 189k from day trading with Anika Hobson in few weeks, this is one of the best medium to backup your assets incase it goes bearish..

I’ve been trying to decide do I keep WBD or do I sell. I picked up the shares like you in the spin off. Then the price tanked. I think I’ll keep it for a while even though it doesn’t fit my portfolio goal of generating dividend income. Good job Jimmy.

Hey Jimmy, thanks for breaking down their debt! That is something most people don't look at hard enough. I agree with you on this stock, it's a solid company with good upside. I think the market is a bit unsure about the company's ability to hit those targets, as you mentioned, it's a bit ambitious to tackle all of that.

In my opinion, T is being treated harshly due to their debt and investors aren’t sure they can maintain that dividend. I think WBD has lots of debt as well but much more growth potential but still very little earnings (cash flow looks good tho). Investors just don’t like debt as interest rates go up, I think.

I own a pretty good amount of WBD and was debating on rather I should hold or sell it. Looking at the history, I believe the company will outperform in a few years. Tech is struggling at the moment due to recent highs during covid. Most stocks are just retracting. If you have money to spare. I think WBD is a good investment long term.

That varies from person to person and it needs to be unique to each person's situation and risk tolerance. @@roberth.7552 I would say 4000 shares, and about another 10,000 (shares) in leap options. Im probably no where near what I need to become a board member but when looking at it from the long term perspective, I'm closer than I was last year😅. I've just been grinding out the overtime at my job for the last year and all the extra cash has just gone directly into Discovery/WBD. Still seems like an outrageous goal to me to achieve but hopefully the stars align in my favor down the road

Their debt is enormous and troubling. I wonder how much all the show cancelations and firings will reduce their operating costs for the quarters to come.

@@joeg9829 Netflix is losing money and content, early Netflix used other networks hit shows to fill in their Catalog but now the other networks are competition. Once Netflix drops to 100$ a share a large cap company in tech will buy them out.

With almost as much liabilities as Disney, I will not be surprised if Warner Bros Discovery sells some of its assets to pay down its debt...

One of the first stocks I bought was T. My family immediately told me to sell so I did. Maybe I should have held for that merger/split.

Great Analysis!!! Huge reason why i'm still concerned is the fact that they diluted shareholders by 500% in the last quarter. If this continues you are gonna need a lot more of a margin of safety.

The annilated the Cartoon Network

They have diluted shareholders significantly from Q1 2022 to Q2 2022. There is no upside if they continue to do this. I'm surprised the stock didn't tank more to be honest. The most important question now is if they plan to keep doing it in the coming years or if this was a one time thing.
