I attended my first live gamecocks game today for the women and men it was better than amazing. I got a chance to meet Coach Staley and a few of the other players

I just love this team to include the coaching staff.

Wasn’t that a fun game to watch! I’m sure Coach must have been giddy watching the women playing tonight. Granted, the women didn’t play a top team, so you expect them to do well and put down some points. Coach has so many talented players and so many ways to use them, and they all play well together! It’s great to see everyone smiling, especially MiLaysia Fulwiley. Everyone made a contribution and got a chance to shine. The defense was tenacious and the offense relentless. Hehehe

I wouldn't get carried away by a big win over Presbyterian. Is Presbyterian even ranked in the top 300? Truth be told, the Gamecocks should not even be playing this team. Thank your scheduler for lining up a cupcake to assure yourselves of a "W." Call me back when you play a real team. Presbyterian shouldn't count as a win for you. At least have class enough not to brag about a win like this one.

I am a huge Dawn Staley fan, but I couldn't play for her if I was a top player at my position, but I could if I was a marginal player. As a top player I want to start and play for development towards my professional goal not give up minutes that I've earned through hard work. If I was a marginal player I would appreciate the time to shine whether I earned it or not. I don't like that Te-Hina missed double figures for the first time this season while only playing half the game. I get the concept, but I think at times it can have an adverse affect when not implemented timely. I never heard of a college basketball player taking a night off as in Raven's case. That's a professional baseball concept. What she did gives new meaning to taking one for the team. Also, I really believe that Brea Beal sacrificing offense for defense at the college level caused her a WNBA career. She was a prolific scorer and complete player averaging 26 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists as a high school senior, but became a role player at SC. Coach got her wins, but Brea got cut! †

Some players game don't translate to the college game as Bree Beal game to me she just wasn't the same player as she was in high school in order for her to get on the floor she had to excel on defense we know Beal wasn't a good shooter in college and she couldn't create her owe shoot off the dribble. As for Raven Hollywood I'm find with sitting her she really needed time off mentally and physically and it gave Malaysia time to play and work some things out. Dawn is looking at the BIG picture. I'm not impressed by a blowout of Presbyterian. Thank your scheduler for lining up easy victories for you to pad your won-loss record. Playing against Presbyterian, Bowling Green, and East Carolina are truly Christmas gifts for the Gamecocks. That's like playing Cupcake College, Snowflake State, and Popsicle University, all in a row. Eventually you'll have to start playing real teams again. You barely beat the Tar Heels by a nickel, and couldn't even beat Utah by a dime. This team is just waiting to be knocked off.
