Ya got'ta love Dawn Staleys' modesty and reluctance to make a show. Her humility shows her true inner strength, that intangible instinct she has about the game and how it should be played. She relates to her 'children' as a mother hen, coddling when necessary and cussin' out to keep them on the ball. The classic coach, with no replacement . . . she's made our school more accessible, created a certain proud dynamic around Carolina and the State. God Bless her, and her mission.

@@labibaby08 We have upgrades at the 1 and 4 spots. We have outside shooters. This team is better and deeper than last years team. Saxton had no business starting and Boston payed for it since teams would bully her.

Unselfish team of talented shooters.

Dawn don't recruit selfish players. They play together sometimes players won't take the shot and pass to another play. She don't have players that has the "ME attitude" and dame the rest. I can't wait to go home to NC 11-30 its going to be hard watching them play my tarheels. I just may stay for the Duke game on Saturday Dec.2 also. I saw SC play Maryland last year here in the DMV its special to watch SC.

I know some people going to be mad But this this is better at shooting than last year. Lord the outside shooting is going to be better. This going to be a scary team this year. Number 6 was a insult. This team has more than 2 players that can shoot and just create a shot.

Last year’s team was so good and would go on a run and the game would be over. I didn’t even realize what our weakness was until we ran into Iowa.

No reason to be mad. You are absolutely correct. We have better shooters at all positions and they play tenacious defense. Raven is deceptively quick and seems lighter on her feet this year. Looking forward to seeing what they will achieve this season.

@@DisabusingTheLeft yes, I Raven was top heavy last year. But this year she does seem faster. I am going to enjoy watching this team. So many people came at me about SC last year outside shooting. I call the game like it is. Dawn knew she had to get some shooters. Lord she got them now.

Dawn is special , 935 mark she just challenged her team to pick it up defensively,😂😂 Great post game interview

From listening to this interview it appears Coach Staley has learned from the final four lost to Iowa. It appears she is going give her girls the green light to shoot the three ball. Looks like she has better shooters this season.

Simple and plain “we produce pros the proof in the pudding”

They might be more talented than last year, but that don't get you a ring. Heart and will does. You will need x-ray glasses to try and find a team that had more heart and will than last year team.

There was no lack of Heart and Will with last year's team and it didn't pan out. Offensively, they were not very good last year and Iowa made them pay the price. Yes, this team is young and fresh, but they are more balanced defensively and offensively than the Freshies. As they get more reps and play more games, overtime, I believe they will surpass the Freshies. This group of players have way more weapons in their arsenal. That's no disrespect, just my opinnion.

Yes, I agree. I believe what everyone is excited about including me is what their potential is, however until you do it night in and night out I personally can't put you there yet, but I will say they are on the right path and it certainly looks that way. @@rlp5235

Last year’s team didn’t get us a ring either. I hoped that I had got something solid at the 1 and 4 but as usual they were the first ones subbed out. I didn’t expect for Boston and Beal to have disappointing games

Do me a big favor and don't be like a lot of these other programs that don't appreciate greatness because they are spoiled. Not last year but they did win a national title. They would have had two if not for a covid year. 3 Sec championshipships,60-1 home record, 129-9 overall record, beat the national champions last year, there is nothing absolutely nothing disappointing about those girls that I will ever utter. @@user-xf4dy6zl2q

She stay with a good team she have girl coming off the bench that was all American in high school and try out for team USA.

S.Rivers 33 points for NC ST. against #2 UConn. Looking good to. But she wanted a starter spot guaranteed I hear. Guess we don't need her with what we have.

Coach Staley knows how to get the best out of her players, no matter what situation the team is in. Just a great coach and leader. 🫡
