Wayward rocket slams into moon | Morning in America

A wayward rocket likely just collided with the far side of the moon early this morning. Experts say they don't know exactly where the space junk hit the moon just yet, but the 3-4 ton rocket did create a sizable crater.

Millions of miles away? Hahahahaha the earth has a dome the moon and the sun are right here in that dome. Lets look at an example my country called Trinidad and Tobago is 6 miles off South America that's about 4 thousand miles from North America. At certain times of the year the sunrise hits my country and Brooklyn ny at the same time Meanwhile California 2 thousand miles away is still dark It then hits California another 3 hours later, understand by the time California sees the sun other areas further east of South America and my country Trinidad goes dark to nightime... How many miles are the sunlight lighting up at one time? Answer- South America and part of North America maybe 4000 + California is another 3000 miles away I would guess the sun illuminates 5000 miles span... Like a spotlight It doesn't illuminate the entire world at the same time... Millions of miles away would illuminate a way wider span cause its shining from so high up!!!

We all used to think it was way to hot to go to the sun, but then NASA got the idea to go in the wintertime and the people thought it was another genius idea from NASA and followed it blindly without a second thought. Uh yeah a rocket second stage went over 250,000 miles and hit the far side of the moon. Even if they were aiming for it, the moon barely has enough mass to keep a satellite in orbit, much less an errant second stage propelled away from it. If they weren't aiming for it that's a helluva lucky shot.

What? Do you think they showed an actual picture of the crater? Even if it was an actual picture, the rocket would be traveling at over 5,000 mph…so there wouldn’t be much of anything left

I suspect this impact was grossly intentional in order to destroy something. The odds of such an occurrence (a booster rocket stage, entering lunar orbit, crashing on the far side where the Chinese have already been exploring) are… astronomical (pun intended). Those are my conclusions based upon what I’m already aware of.

A new meaning to the old "shoot the moon" (urban dictionary). Back in about 74-75 I was a young teen walking on the sidewalk when a Ford pickup drove by with a HUGE hinder and fur-pie filling the passenger window,I'm still laughing at the memory. In a small town everybody really does know everybody! I know, that story has nuthin to do with anything,I just thought you might need a laugh.
