@@deenzmartin6695 Ahh this was three years ago but I think it was an interview. When Nct 127 came out they had a Korean and English version in their title and WayV just had the song called “Regular.” But who really knows anymore 😂

Funny thing is all three versions have certain different lyrics, English ver. Is all about being big and already making it, while Korean ver. Is all about being hopeful and one day being big and Chinese ver. Is about their dreams in general

@@StreetNoise WayV's whole concept for this debut is dreams and honestly it's such a smart concept to begin with especially in the Chinese Market. I, myself love the Chinese lyrics the most followed by the English ones just because sometimes you deserve that moment of braginess and then followed by the Korean one.

there are a lot of comments saying one thing and another but imma clear things up before people start getting confused. ALL of the members are chinese one way or another and i'll explain how: Lucas (also in NCT U, you'll recognise him in Boss) - His mom is thai and his dad is from hong kong. He was born and raised in Hong kong. WinWin (He is in NCT 127 & NCT U) - Chinese - born and raised. Kun (technically WayV is the first subunit he's in unfortunately however he partcipated in chinese versions of songs e.g Without you) - Chinese - born and raised Ten (He's in NCT U e.g Baby don't stop, 7th sense) - his NATIONALITY is Thai but he is ETHNICITY is chinese. He was born and raised in thailand. (it's just like me saying i was born and raised in london however my ethnicity is hispanic and african) Xiao Jun (New member, used to be trainee part of sm rookies) - born and raised in China. Hendery (New member, used to be trainee part of sm rookies) - he was born in Macau (belongs to china) and i believe he was raised there. YangYang (New member, used to be trainee part of sm rookies) - He was born in taiwan but later moved to Germany and i believe he spent majority of his adolescence there. He hold's both Chinese & German nationality.

Ok so both Lucas and Ten are Thai and Chinese then... while Ten is more Thai because he grew up there Lucas is more Chinese because he grew up in Hongkong but I guess you can say all of them are still Chinese

Yeah, it's the Chinese subunit of NCT (even though it doesn't have NCT in the title.) Like Diddy mentioned I told him...one is also a 127 member, a couple have been in U releases, and the rest were formerly trainees making their debut here 😊

@quicklymurderme Yes, there is. Winwin is in 127. I know he barely gets any lines (you can check out any 127 comment video sections for how people feel about that but he is in the group.)

wayV is a Chinese subunit of nct. three new members were added and the other members you already know from different subunits like nct 2018. the reason why they didn't put nct in their group name and are under label v is because Kpop is banned in china. and to be able to have activities and promotion there they put them in a Chinese label which is basically created by SM entertainment. that means that they all are still in SM and are part of nct.

Someone might get upset but I'm about to compare. You don't make three versions of the same song and then expect me not to compare. I prefer the WayV version of the song AND video. You can say, "they're all good in their own way," but I'm not putting three versions of Regular on my playlist (who is, honestly?). There shall be one and that's WayV's. I like that there are fewer members, I prefer the rapping and vocals to the original and the M/V has more focus (for me). So thrilled to see this reaction as well ❤️.

Ten (the one in the center) is Thai, Lucas (the one you said you never seen before) is half Chinese and half Thai, and YangYang is half German and Chinese. Beside that the others are fully Chinese. Also Ten has solo songs “new heroes” and “dream in a dream”

Nikki Rodriguez yang yang is not half german. He is full chinese, he just lived in germany and can speak the language.

So because you guys are interested in the production of the MVs as well as the songs themselves, I think looking at some DPR Live MVs are paramount! Christian Yu directs them and they have some of the best location panorama shots out there. Martini Blue, Text Me, Jasmine and Playlist are just a few I think you guys would like (plus the songs are great! 😁)

The guy you didn‘t recognize was in NCT-Boss. He was the rapper with the chairs.

WayV is the 'China Line' of NCT! Ten (the black haired guy with the unbuttoned shirt), Lucas (the guy who starts the song off), Winwin ('bust it, bust it' and who bit the diamond) were all previously in NCT U - Winwin was actually also in NCT 127 and in the previous two versions of this song! Kun (the blonde) debut with NCT 2018 but was only in Black on Black. The other 3 - Yangyang (in the broker room with the mullet who rapped right after Kun), Xiaojun (on the mechanical bull and also rapped in the broker room), and Hendery (black hair with the gold sweater) are all brand new members! Can I request y'all react to ONEUS's 'Valkyrie', Seventeen's 'Getting Closer' and 'Home', The Boyz's 'No Air', and Stray Kids's 'I Am You'?

The members u may know are Win win, he was in the other two "Regular" versions....Ten.... Think "Baby Don't Stop"....Lucas.. He did one of the raps for NCTU "BOSS"...the one in the turtleneck...now Kun has also been with NCT for a while but only did NCT2018 "Black on Black"....the new members are....Yang yang, XiaoJun, and Hendry...and no not a typo...there is a d in his name...Hendry....the members are Chinese, Thai...Ten and Lucas is half......and I believe one of them is half German...but it is considered the Chinese unit of NCT...now keep in mind SM, wants to have at least one person, if not more from every country to be a part of NCT...than has many sub units to connect with everyone around the world...that is one of the concepts....right now they are up to 21 members with plans for more....we will see...I love what they now... Oh and apparently "Regular" was supposed to be for Way V first, but SM changed their minds and released the English version first.....

The lyrics are different!!! Korean vs. is about being dreaming of making it big. English vs. is about already making it big. Chinese vs. is about like their individual dreams. It all goes together as NCT is many sub groups but all their music is linked in some way. Its actually really cool once you start to look in to it.

I don't see it, passport and birth certificate wise he's Thai but technically Chinese aka his ethnicity, I too have double nationalities so I don't see how I'm wrong when I literally said the same thing. I know he is of Chinese ethnicity it's later comments I see under ops comments wondering if he's half or not so why @ me for that? Renjuns I can agree is a fansite thing that Renjuns family are ethnically Korean So I'll remove that comment but that's the only thing on me.

All 7 members are chinese except for Ten who is Thai. (and if it counts, one is chinese with German nationality) All are NCT members except three new members. (Ten was previously in NCT U baby don’t stop, the seventh sense. Lucas was in NCT U boss. Winwin was in NCT U Boss and all NCT 127 songs. Kun wasn’t in any unit but sang a Chinese version of a NCT U song and was in black on black)

​@@veronicamorales He is not. He is of chinese descent, his grandmother's parents were chinese/came from china. The rest of his grandparents/family are Thai and he is Thai. Please don't spread that wrong fact. We know Ten got hate for being in WayV, but people who hate don't deserve any time, and Ten's background and bio is what it is, his family is mostly Thai and he is proud of being Thai, he would be maybe 1/4 chinese? And his grandmother was raised in Thailand and didn't speak chinese, or didn't speak it to Ten since he didn't know any chinese until last year. He can be Thai and be in Wayv and have some chinese ancestry. It's ok

veronica being of chinese descent doesn’t play a huge role in how Thai he is. He is still born and raised in Thailand and never spoken Chinese or was in Chinese culture his entire life. Just like how white Americans are from European descent .

They under Wayv because China and Korea relations arent too great so their is a kind of "ban" on Kpop in China which is why they cant be under the NCT name... although they are essentially just a subunit of NCT
