Easy to add into your planner!

I've been using Flylady on and off for quite a few years now. I don't have very good "stick-to-it-iveness" so I fall off the wagon periodically! lol. In the last couple of weeks I've developed a check list of all the tasks throughout the house and added 3 check boxes for each task, one for each month of the last quarter. This way I can tell from month to month which I've done and which has been missed. What I love about your system is how you completely changed the zones. I always struggled with zone 5 as the living room as well but for some reason I stuck with it because, well thems the rules! Well I think I'll be a rebel and change my zones and revamp my checklist. Thanks so much for sharing this, it was very helpful.

Join the Flylady rebels Jacqui! We're redefining our zones, taking what works, changing what doesn't and making it our own! Not having a full week in Zone 5 when it's the living area is just crazy to me. We use that space a lot. Our master bed/bath however I can clean in a couple of days easy. So change those zones up!

Omgosh, thank you. I started fly lafy probably 20yrs ago when i printed everything out & put it in a binder. I havent used or looked at that binder in years, didnt even know fly lady was still around. I will definitely look into the app & implement it in a planner.

Yep it can be very overwhelming Stephanie, so take what works for you and leave the rest!

This is amazing, and just what I need. I find the fly lady a bit overwhelming so I started with clean mama, and I’m slowing creating my own routines. I love the idea of ONE simple monthly checklist, instead of getting overwhelmed by monthly tasks, weekly and daily and then trying to cram that into my happy planner, plus daily pages and then I don’t know where I actually wrote things or where to look. Thank you!! I notice you also had some pages that look like makselife which I also love! I find them quite expensive so I use their free printables .

Oh I use the Makselife free printables too! Lol! It has pretty much what I need, I just adjusted the monthly goals to fit on one page instead of two. And yes Flylady can be VERY overwhelming, but you have to find what works for YOU!

Yes I'm a flylade user and this idea is verry helpfull...thanks for sharing

I’ll be watching this video again to write down info!!! Im working on a home binder and have a section called “when did I last…” When did I last change batteries in smoke alarms, when did I last test the smoke alarms, when did I last change out a/c filters etc I find it very helpful!!

That's a great page to add to your planner! Also good to put on the year at a glance page at the front of your planner

I’ve re-zoned too for my flylady. I don’t do a monthly rotation like flylady - I do a 5 week rotation so each zone gets a full week. They don’t align with what she sends out but there were too many emails so I cancelled that mailing list. I love the printable you made - I hand did it in my control journal but may make it printable to help keep updated with tasks. I did create stickers so each week gets a zone sticker, but the printable laminated may help my family jump in, too…

Glad you did your own Zones and made it work for you! I like the 5 week rotation too! That makes a lot of sense! Agree she sends out too many emails. Yep I'm gonna do some stickers too, it's on my (very long) to do list lol!

I treated myself to Molly Maid (cleaning service) this summer...I am 71 and tired of cleaning...so why not? If this system works for you...go for it! I had something similar when I was younger and still working.

I have used flylady for about 20 years. Read the books, used the app, all the bells and whistle. I agree with you with “rezoning”. You have to make it work for your house and it does work. I have learned some great things from her system. I think the one thing i am glad i learned was 1 load a day keeps mount washmore away! Lol. I am going to try out your system. I really have been slacking but this is a great way to do it.

100% agree on the laundry!!! Some of the tips she provides are SOLID but there is also some I disagree with, just don't apply or work for me. Take what we need and leave what we don't!

I had never heard of Flylady, so I read up about it after watching your video. And now I feel inadequate. 😂. Maybe I should stop naming the dust bunnies and get with the program. Or maybe not. Always learn something new from your clips. Thanks for sharing.

Definitely worth giving it a go. I don't do the program as she dictates it, I've tweaked it for myself, and honestly it's been a struggle since February getting back into my routines. But at least you have dust bunnies, at one point I had whole warrens of the bunnies 😂

Worth looking at and then tweaking to suit your house and needs

I to have used fly lady system and the one before it The sidetracked Sisters they did a color coding system cards in a card file system. I have a basement and have to tweak zones for that to work for my home.
