Ways to Remove a Tick from your Dog | Dog's Health

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

These ticks are parasites that could endanger the health of your dos. There are traditional methods of removing the ticks by use of tweezers and removing them individually. However, if the head is left behind and it is not removed properly, your dog's health is still in danger for health problems, infection might occur. Zypher Clarke-Dolberg, a dog trainer explains how to remove a tick from your dog.

Thank you for this helpful u-tube. I just tried it on my dog that I got form a shelter... it just took one minute to have the tick removed intact. I wiped the blood from the dog's neck with water and iodine. It was easier than expected! Thank you again from Beirut, Lebanon

We just used this method and in less than 1 minute the entire tick came out on its own. With a little gentle rubbing in a circular pattern, we made our dog think we were just petting her. She didn't have any pain or discomfort, and she is now tick free again. Thank you!

we watched four different videos and this video was the most highly effective for removing the tick. My dog is a long haired Shih Tzu and the tick would not come out with tweezers and I was beginning to get worried. I saw this video followed the directions, I use rubber gloves and tick came out with a slight pull from tweezers. I like the fact that I wasn't drenching the tick with different chemical and it didn't hurt her. She didn't cry once.

Excellent trick, worked for me, I`d been trying with tweezers for ages and couldnt get my dog to stay still enough to get it, left the soap on for a couple of minutes and the tick came off with a wipe backwards, Thanks

This is worth a try, it might work, but here are three IMPORTANT things to do: 1) have a jar with a lid ready, put the tick into it and KEEP IT for two or three weeks for testing if needed, that is if the dog becomes sick 2) after removing tick disinfect the area with rubbing alcohol and wash your hands thoroughly (good idea to wear protective gloves like doctors wear when you remove it) 3) pointy tweezers or a tick-removal tool might be needed ---> watch more youtube videos on this, there are some good ones!

Do you have trees hanging nearby? Because ticks fall from trees and plants. We were able to prune back the trees and now my dog only has 5or 6 ticks every summer instead of 50 a week. If you have white walls you can see them crawling up to the ceiling.Hope you can sort it out as ticks are horrible, painful and disease carriers.

Maybe I did it wrong as it didn't work for me with my dog. However heating up a skewering rod and touching the tick's body did the trick... he let go and was easily picked off.

The quickest, easiest and safest way is to just hold a lighted cigarette near the tick. It lets go immediately. You get the head and body every time. No infection.

Having multiple dogs in a yard like his he would have to keep them in cages to be able to manage all of the in a timely manner. Dogs are not afraid of cages nore do they look at it like we do. My dog thinks it's her room she doesn't poop or piss in there and when I let her loose in the yard she goes right to her cage makes sure all her things are in order them she goes and plays in the yard. I would never just keep my dog in a cage but there are situations where you have to. I've actually hung out with my dog in her cage it was like she was showing me her room. And my dog is a house dog.

+THE RONNIE J SHOW Thank you for your answer my friend. It looks good and my dog is been fine. I saw a video that say that is was ok to leave the head and eventually his body will take it out in a natural way. So far my dog is acting normal, nothing weird at all. The part where the tick was is normal, is not read or purple so i guess my doggie will be fine. Thanks for your answer mate!
