    She is so kind to his mouth, no drag on the reins at all. Her urging with her legs was also kind, as he was very into his job and excited to move. Ears forward, eyes alert, no fear, no anxiety just adrenaline and ready for the game. These two were made for each other. Nice ride 💛

    @@cxttisbetterthanuthat's not starfishing. You probably say that because other people do. Starfishing is bouncing on the horse's back (a lot more than she did. You will always bounce a little) and kicking very wide and hard. She was just kicking her horse. It wasn't even consistent kicks. She was obviously only doing what her horse needed to get the signal and go.

    @@MP_Equine_editz it was consistent kicks towards the end. And at the last barrel, did u see her lower leg? right up. If she had more balance her leg woulda stayed in place.

    @@cxttisbetterthanushe only did like 4 kicks at a time. And it was a little wide but it's really borderline. You can't judge h r until you know and have ridden the horse. I've rode horses who are not responsive to small kicks. Iv also ridden some that will gallop by a tight squeeze. All horses are different. You don't know what it takes. This isn't abuse. Kicking is not the same as starfishing

    @Tbhthatonegirl The act of starfishing a horse, also known as splaying, is when a rider kicks the horse vigorously and spreads their legs like a starfish, with their bottom in the air, in an attempt to make the horse go faster and impress the audience

  • @AriaTheEquestrian

    @AriaTheEquestrian

    Жыл бұрын

    @Tbhthatonegirl This type of treatment is extremely cruel for the horse, as it is kicked by the rider in an attempt to make the horse go faster, with no other option but to submit to the abuse. Not only is this method of spurring the horse physically painful, it can also cause psychological distress due to the fear of not knowing when and where the next kick might come from. Furthermore, it can lead to long-term physical and behavioural damage. Aside from the obvious cruelty, this activity is also dangerous for both horse and rider. The horse can suffer from inflammation and bruises, and the rider risks serious injury from hanging in the air with little to no saddle support. Moreover, many barrel racing horses have to be retired early due to injury.

You seem like a great person so please don’t take this to deeply. Just my opinion! Btw if you do see this. I am a fan and I am subbed. I’m just looking through a screen so I can’t diagnose him but ngl he seemed a tiny bit stressed. No pain but a little stressed bc barrel races are very loud. @@lilah_barrels her holding the horn is for balance 😭 you see she does it around the turns when she leans? even if its not for balance, you aren’t supposed to use the horn for support. she should at minimum wear a helmet or a hat just incase she falls, ts could give insane damage or crack your skull open. If the horse is already excited, there’s no need to kick. its gross when people starfish and overkick in such a large way. i get that its flair but i dont think slamming your heels into the ribs of your horse so hard that you put your legs into the air as windup is necessary or healthy. theres a line between adding pressure to increase gait or just.. beating on ur horse
