Rooney's record before his employment was a red flag, the fans made noise when Rooney's PR team were promoting him before we sacked Eustace. We regards to Eustace it wasn't perfect, but we played as a team - probably wouldn't have made the play offs, but I doubt we'd have been this terrible. Anyway the nightmare is over (although no news on Cole and O'Shea?), so let's hope they get it right next time.

Results were poor but add that with performances and his comments after the games meant his job was untenable.

As a Leeds fan you do not want Jessie march he is too one dimensional and not at all flexible it will be just as bad decision as the Rooney one

The only reason blues are in a reasonably safe position is due to the points accrued by Eustace. All Rooney had to do was to use the time to gain the teams confidence then over a period of time introduce new tactics. It was evident the players where overloaded with tactics that was strange to them and were chasing shadows most matches. Jay Stansfield was knocking the goals in for fun before Rooney arrived, he simply wasn't getting the right service. It's going to take time to get confidence back into this team with so many defeats under it's belt.

They had to sack Rooney otherwise their decision on Eustace would look even more stupid and them as leaders would lose even more creditability. Trying to turn around a mediocre team to promotion contenders in 3 months is unachievable in most cases regardless of the manager.

Kind of feel sorry for Rooney. It’s your owners who are to blame. Not realising the anger at sacking Eustice for Rooney then saying all that nonsense about front footed football! We are so thankful for our owners at Luton. The FA need to stop foreign owners. It’s a disgrace for American billionaires or oil sheikhs using our clubs as their plaything. Almost as bad as current owners selling to these outsiders. German clubs are almost all fan owned.

It was an Englishman who made this decision not the Americans. And you can't turn back time. Foreign owners are here to stay. Clubs are privately owned companies and as such anyone can offer to buy them. The German system of club ownership has always been totally different to ours. We have had some pretty ropey British owners in our time too.
