The burden men feel for decisions of command is well illustrated in Gimli's saga. While Mr. Hallatt was not an officer, he had the responsibility to the rest of the team to not lose the entire team over one man. These are heart rending decisions to make and for men to have to live with their entire lives. Witnessing a man wrestle with a decision to preserve the team was hard to watch. Great job Ronnie in letting Wayne tell his story.
First time in a while that I've watched an entire 2-hour podcast, while glued to my fucking screen. This guy is incredibly intelligent and very well-spoken. He needs to go on a few more big podcasts before he leaves North America. This man is so articulate and had me shaking the entire time. If more people heard his war stories it could have could have a extraordinary impact on the war.
Holy shit what an incredible first show! I have been watching this channel since the beginning of Afghanistan and I feel honored to have watch you guys grow and bring very neccessary context to the many pointless conflicts. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart!

Me too, back when it was Funkers personal channel, when I found it. I came originally to watch Canadian footage in Afghanistan. Edit: And also I forgot to say it was a great 1st Episode, hope for many more. 🤘🏻 Now make a Yeti in Black with the Funker Logo (powder coated if possible) and a cool Hoddie and or T-Shirt with the Funker530 logo where a left breast pocket would be, and some cool meme on the back. Sorry, I don’t like clothes with huge prints on the front.
Fascinating account from a former NCO from my former Canadian unit. To be fair, though I was likely already transferred to the reserves by the time Wayne joined. A lot of guys toyed with doing this sort of thing during the Cold War years and the decade of darkness that immediately followed. Here's a guy who put his money where his mouth is. He certainly has my respect.
Awww man what a powerful and honest interview in its rawest form. This is what people need to see to really understand war.
IMHO this is not just an interview. This is a historical first. Interviewing a guy who is giving a play by play from video FPV is historical. I’m sure military has FPV with soldiers AARs but if any one knows of another interview from FPV, Birds Eye, and multiple angles that’s available to the General public would love to see it.
Bro, please hug this men. He really needs it. A true warrior but I think he needs a break. Everyone needs a break once a while! Grüße and thanks a lot for this!

Respect to Wayne Hallatt. Watched all of it.
"Not good scoobies" is something I'm definitely living by from now on.
Fnking epic start Funker team. I've followed Funker from long ago when there was , even then, a mass amount of footage now lost as I understand. Your team hit a home run right out of the gate in your new studio. Well done, and Ronnie at bad either.
"If you can move, move. And if you can move, don't stop" Fucking love that.
seeing these bad ass dudes choke up with emotion was making me choke up, being willing to talk about this stuff is beyond human. thank you for sharing your experience with the world it is needed thank you for your service
This is one of the best interviews from the war that I've heard yet great job letting him just tell his story please do more
well done Ronnie and great first guest.
Wayne I'm beyond happy that you're still alive! I shouldn't have doubted you when you said you're going to Ukraine to fight. I knew you had the plane ticket last we spoke, I told you not to die out there to some fkn drone. We talked a lot while you were feeding the dishwasher for a few months before you left. Good luck out there Wayne
Thanks to all the Veterans who have served and are serving our countries 🙏
World class. Next level for Funker, a channel I’ve known for so long. This has put you guys on a completely different plane.
Awesome podcast, guys. It has given so much more insight on what's happening on the ground in Ukraine. Ronnie and the guys at Funker: you are doing great and important work here!

Extremely good interview! Ronnie knows to ask many damn interesting and right questions.
Amazing guest Fantastic job Funker crew i look forward to more.
This has to be about the best content on the tube rn. I've been promoting the hell outta it too. Thanks for doing the interview Wayne, take care of yourself, I wish you a speedy recovery. Need to follow Chosen Company alittle more closely. Ronnie great interview man, changes the flow when the interviewer actually knows the source material from experience. 🇺🇸 🇺🇦
I totally understand its your first time as a host, but, just a constructive criticism: stop trying to reframe what the guest says in a way that is more palatable to you. His words and his message are his, up to the audience to digest. That being said, i look forward to future content, great podcast.

43:00 hell no Russia don't care about their troops' lives. As an outsider looking in, it seems to me life has been cheap in that land for a long, long, long time.
Damn this was heavy. Also a very insightful episode. Thanks Dirty P for what you've done. Thanks Funkerteam, and great job Ronnie, good questions, very objective.
Wooow, now this is what we can call some real content, I was like damn 3 hours... and I just couln't stop watching, that doesn't mean that the other shows are not good, in the contrary, I love what this channel is doing ! And all my respect goes to the heoric fighters fighting for our values ! fighting for asleeped Europe, fighting for the rest of us ! Slava Ukraine !
Great interview! Thank you Ronnie. I am Looking in from Canada.
Ronnie shitting on reddit was the happiest momment of the week for me so far.
I wasn't expecting a linguist. I wasn't expecting poetry. I also wasn't expecting to be so totally engrossed by this man's experiences told with such honesty and conviction. My utmost respect goes out to Wayne for his service not only to my country of Canada but to Ukraine as well. Respect also to Ronnie for providing us with such an outstanding, skillful interview.
Incredible interview.

jesus christ, the story about him rescuing the wounded guys with no guns and other equipment, under fire and through a mindfield AND 1 enemy drone is some medal of honor stuff.....
I’m so happy it’s finally a podcast! I listen to podcasts all day while I’m working. So now I will be able to enjoy my favorite KZread show, but while I’m working!
Captivating. Every minute. Don’t listen to douches who have the attention span and intellect of a mosquito, complaining about a lack of video or graphic context during this fantastic interview. I watched every second of that interview and for what it’s worth, must commend you on your professional, respectful, focused approach to allowing him to tell his story, while sticking to the overall game plan / format that y’all had in mind. Please keep this up! Don’t change a thing. F the trolls.
Outstanding interview! Thank you for the video, many thanks to Wayne and men like him for their service.
The last casualty number I heard for Russia that's creditable is 300,000 Plus. This is dead not injured.

Good Podcast. Good man🙏
Great discussion. Looking forward to the future of Funker

Thanks Wayne for all your service to Canada for all those years, and your representation with the motley crue of international badasses in Chosen. For those of us who can't, we appreciate what you do to fight off the invaders and help Ukraine protect itself. Stay strong. 🤜🏼💥
Thanks Wayne for calling these assholes out.
Damn good podcast. Awesome to hear the context behind a video. Great insights.
Has Wayne spoken to his Member of Parliament? He needs to share his experience to more Canadians.

Video issue: 16 mins in or so noticeable auto focus issues when Ron starts talking with his hands in front of the camera. (Tie his hands together is the AI suggested comment here lol Did you kick a Roomba or something). Great episode thus far going to continue watching.
