It’s common in SF to cross to the center island against a Don’t Walk signal if there’s no traffic in that direction and wait for traffic to clear/light to change before crossing the rest of the way. A local would think the Waymo is driving unnaturally and being annoying because it didn’t just go when the light turned green.

Most cars are street parked and there’s no widely deployed network of on street chargers yet so EVs don’t make sense for most drivers. Plus at 45 cents per kWh, an EV consumes about 10 cents of energy per mile, on par with a gas powered hybrid, so we mainly drive those.

Say that to every Tesla you see after every other car In LA. Tesla has a great network and many people charge at home for 0.17 yes In socal during super off-peak at 12AM. A full charge Is 11 bucks
