Wayanad is a perfect weekend getaways from Bangalore.
If you are coming from Bangalore / Mysore, then by starting early you can cover the edekkal caves on the same day and then retire to your stay.
For chembra peak you will need a full day if you want to complete the trek.and reach the heart shaped lake view at the top
The trek is rated as easy for initial parts but moderately difficult there after
Total length of trek is about 4.5 Kms (onside).
The trek is organized by the forest dept, so make sure to reach on time to collect tickets as only limited number of people are allowed per day. Link with more details are present in the description section
As we covered viewpoints and kuruvadweep on the same, we missed soochipara falls, but can be covered if you start early for kuruvadweep.
