Hello Katie - I am learning ukelele to go to missions wherever Lord Jesus Christ calls.... and your channel is a blessing!

One of the main reasons I took up ukelele is to use it in my worship band at church - I have been singing for many years, I wanted to expand the repitoire. I just thought you did tutorials about learning ukelele generally and to help beginners like me. I had no idea you do worship songs!!! Your channel has just got more perfect 💕💕💕

Thank you Katie for your tutorials, I recently took up the ukulele again… 50 years later! In 3rd grade I had an elementary teacher who taught a small group of us. We played the baritone uke. Recently an acquaintance on FB started a uku group and invited me to that and to lessons in a group. I purchased a tenor uke and have attended a few lessons and will continue, but my desire was to learn worship songs. I was so excited to find your KZread channel! With all going on in our world, this song, WayMaker is a blessing! Thanks for the tutorial! Wonderful promise. God never leaves His people and He is always working…. Even when we don’t see Him working!

@@OneMusicSchool It's a rough time for a slowdown work wise. Landscaping in Florida is peak money this time of year, but I have a nice garden, and the young 'un and I are safe and healthy. I did have to cancel my music classes for the neighborhood kids for now, which is unfortunate. Otherwise everything is peachy. All good things to you and yours.

So...I have not gotten to play my uke for 8 DAYS (which is such a minor thing in comparison to what's going on in the world--- but with downtime, of course, I would love to play more, and it has been therapeutic for me-- ANYWAY)- have not gotten to play because 8 days ago I rescued one of my cats from a neighbor's dog and ended up with several deep punctures in my index fingers, so I have had to spend time healing---(it's all good, don't worry! God is good; He is my healer and protector!)...so, today I FINALLY got to get back to playing and was excited to see this on your channel...I love this song so much, and it is so perfect right now in layers of ways! Great:) maybe the width at the nut. Lanakai typically have that fairly wide. And maybe the action as well. Is it easy to play notes or do you require a firmer string press. Love the slotted headstock, colour ... etc. Does it have any effects ... like chorus, that can be played without using an amp. :) Stay healthy :)
