Is this plugin the waves emulation of the Black box?

Very similar. The big difference is that the BlackBox has an additional saturation knob to blend in even more saturation into the signal apart from the even and odd harmonic knobs that both plugins have.

Load a frequency spectrum analyzer and you’ll see the added harmonics. If you have trouble hearing a change then crank the knobs more.
