In 2018 my friends and I drove to see you in Albuquerque. It was the first stop on your Welcome to the Family tour that year. We did the meet and greet and I fainted after locking my knees from standing. Super embarrassing! You ran and grabbed a water for me! I'm still embarrassed but I love telling that story... I went through some really tough stuff from 2012 to now and listening to your music really helps. My favorite song of yours is Theories and the entire Lovely Things Suite, so when a fan asked your favorite song of yours and you also said Theories, I about died. I think you're the most talented musician on earth and wish everyone knew your music. Thank you for everything Watsky, I look forward to everything you do. Love, Heather

man, it's so awesome to see how people have bonded with that album. when it dropped I felt like so many people were upset that it wasn't like All You Can Do, thought it didn't sound clean enough and was too all over the map. but it's a good lesson to me that you never know how stuff will age, and that material that isn't right for one person is the same reason it's perfect for someone else

@@gwatsky Bro it hit me hard. Especially the lovely things suite! I remember the first time I played the watsky playlist on KZread a month back and sat down and listened to what the music was saying I cried. KZread decided it was a good idea to shuffle to where dedicated to christiana li and teardrops to diamonds were back to back. I remember the first time listening, no interruptions, expecting more of the same beats, more of the same flow, another great record to relax to and look up on Genius later to figure out all the references that went over my head. I was first introduced to your music by a very dear friend, who eventually turned into my partner and still is today. Unfortunately things aren’t as bright as they used to be, or used to feel. The pandemic really fucked me up in multiple ways. I lost my job and then had the self discovery of “Wait, i fucking hate my job.” And I gathered the courage to leave. To follow my dreams or live my life the way I wanted to. Turns out that isn’t going well either, I seem to be unable to win in any situation. I was 15 when I was first introduced to your music, and I will be 25 this year. Your music helped me get through an abusive family, terrible friendships and traumatic life events, depression, anxiety and the feeling of never being enough or worthy. I’ve met you a couple times, too. You were always such a vibrant part of my life and watching you grow has been amazing. This past year (almost 2 years) has been quite a lot for everybody. We’ve missed you so much and I can’t wait to see you again. It’s been too long.

i know it's probably disappointing that I spent several years posting so consistently and I haven't been lately... maybe I can explain a little... since the beginning, the kind of videos I made for KZread were expensive and time-consuming to film. my passion was to make high-production music videos, even though it was a huge money-loser for me. I loved the creative process, but it was never sustainable, and after a while I got interested in doing other types of writing. I've always been an artist whose jumped between mediums (I had a pretty long career touring my spoken word poetry before I started making more music and music videos) and there are still a lot of other things I want to do with my life. I don't think I'll ever abandon KZread entirely, but the lifestyle where I'm posting on a frequent schedule isn't for me. and it's nothing against KZread specifically, I've rarely been on social media at all the last year. I'll be forever grateful that this platform gave me an audience, and when I have new stuff to share, I'll share it here, you just won't know when to expect it.

I have such a deep admiration for the art that you create, and how it continues to touch me throughout different journeys in my life. I’m really glad you made it through the pandemic and that you’ve used the time to build yourself up. Sending positive vibes your way and hope to finally see you live one day soon!

From when I first heard you while mowing the lawn via Pandora, to snatching x Infinity pre-order to rock out on my way to volleyball, to bonding with my now brother in law over your poetic approach to music; you've been through a lot with me, my friend, whether you knew it or not. Thanks for joining my journey, and maybe this kind sentiment, from me to you, will slightly enhance yours. Stay well, and be loved.

Every single time I've had a major life change in the works, your music has been a major part of it, it naturally gravitates back to me. When I got paralyzed, learned to walk again, went back to school, going back to work, got married, when I broke my foot and ankle undoing all my progress, and now just learning to love the self and learning to walk again for the third fucking time, your music has been there EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Hopefully this time my chair will be durable enough to come see you live on tour. It's be a dream come true, I hope the present and all of the future finds you well. ❤️

I’ve held your albums so close to my chest since x infinity came out when I was in highschool. I’m deep in college and struggling to stay afloat but every day I come back to you and your music and the memories I’ve made with your art. I’ll never forget you and I will support your future !
