Waterspouts and Rainbow Seen Over Lake Michigan

Waterspouts and Rainbow Seen at Lake Michigan
As waterspout season continues for the Great Lakes, plenty of rotation activity was recorded over Lake Michigan at Saint Joseph on September 12 by a local storm chaser.
Nathan Voytovick of Midwest & Great Lakes Storm Chasers said he spotted “plenty of rotation,” including “multiple waterspouts” as “frigid air” flowed over the warm lake water.
The short-lived twisters can be seen in his sped-up footage, although he said they didn’t all “fully condense”, leaving movement across the water difficult to see at times.
A partial break in the clouds also allowed for a rainbow over the lakeshore.
