Disgusting. You don’t mix sweet with salty. Keep that salad , salad and keep the fruit salad like it supposed to be , fruit salad. Thumbs down for your video.

Since when do you NOT mix sweet and salty, lol! Chocolate covered pretzels or salted caramel for starters.... Sweet and salty rocks!

Sweet and salty are mixed all the time. In fact, I 've been to Restaurants where the fruit salad consists of apples, grapes, pineapple, onions, cucumbers, and tomatoes. It's delicious. When I was a child, my family ate watermelon with salt. It really isn't weird at all.

I love everything about this recipe, including all your suggested add-ins. I might include diced kiwi, peeled or unpeeled 🥝 EXCEPT the dressing. It seems too heavy, sweet, and cloying. I'd rather use lime juice + pomegranate molasses + a smidgen of grated ginger + EVOO, and I can't think of anything else that it needs, as long as the feta is salty enough 🍋‍🟩🫚 Definitely use a sheep's milk feta (the kind with about 10% goat's milk) if you can find it; if you use cow's milk feta, add salt to taste. This is a rare salad for me - no tomatoes, onions (unless I add pickled onions), greens, garlic, black pepper, or nuts. I might use watercress and toss it with my suggested dressing, then toss it with everything else. Do you think that white pepper might work in my suggested dressing, if fresh-ground and not too much? I prefer the flavor of white pepper to red pepper flakes for this salad. How about a drizzle of Kewpie over the top for serving? And/or a scattering of pomegranate seeds? (I confess: Chef Yotam Ottolenghi is a major influence!) IMO: the more feta, the better 😊

Your dressings sound deliciuos.. When I make a fruit salad with apples, grapes, pineapple, maybe melon, onions and cukes and tomatoes...I use mint, orange juice and a little sugar.

@@sandhermit3665 Thanks! I salivate just thinking about it lol. Try using the pomegranate molasses instead of sugar. It's sweet and tangy and delicious with mint and citrus. IMO, the less processed white sugar, the better.
