My mother introduced me to this movie when I was a teenager and I fell in love with Vivien Leigh. Now that my mom is gone, this movie really hits me hard. My mom was a beautiful lady and I miss her dearly. Vivien was achingly beautiful. One in a Century beauty. What a romantic movie. No wonder Robert Taylor character in the movie could not forget her and lived alone the rest of his life with just her memories keeping him company. If I was him, I’d do the same and could not bear to be with anyone else.

I really didn`t get why some of the dancers like V. Leigh character became prostitutes. I would understand it if the plot were set in mainland Europe where the war break loose pretty bad. But i believed England living standards was relative ok (comparated with Germany or France maybe) so i think those dancers could get a job as clerks or nurses or anything else.
