Watercolour splatter technique - 10 times to use it, 3 methods AND how to stop it going everywhere
Ойын-сауық
Spatter, splatter, splash, blots, splots, drops - whatever you call them, they can be a very useful tool to add to your watercolour paintings. But used just for the sake of it, or in the hope of disguising an overworked painting and you picture will have a nasty case of chicken pox!
I like a splat as much as the next person, and in this weekly tip, I give you 10 reasons to use splatter and a few to avoid it. We go through three different techniques, for soft and hard spatter. Finally we look at how to control where all that paint ends up!
Every week I do a short tip, trick or technique I wish I'd know when I started painting. Please like and subscribe and hit the 'notification bell' to see new ones. If there is anything you'd like me to go through, just leave a comment.
The class I mention is a free 45 minute class with Shopkeeparty on 29 April 2021. The link to register is www.shopkeeparty.com/artyclasses

Very helpful. It is encouraging and makes me want to do practice splatter pieces (that I can use for backgrounds). Thank you!

Thank you. Great tips again! I particularly like the splatter with the syringe and the two tone splatters. The horse is beautiful!

@@robertweinblatt2018 I set a challenge a few months back to my Facebook group of using something they’d bought and never used. It worked well. I’m a big believer in substituting colours and using up everything!
