I am so happy to see these tree tutorials because I have been struggling to figure out how to get the colors and shapes for a natural look. You have been extremely helpful in so many ways, thank you!
Well Jenna you have just taught me in a few minutes something I have been struggling with for years! You're brilliant. Thank you
Thank you for doing your tutorials in “real time”. It makes such a huge difference! You’ve really inspired me. I dug out my 18 (yes 18) year old M. Graham watercolors, and am so excited to start painting again!! 🥰❤😊
Love the way you teach us how to paint! You are a great teacher and I look forward to your lessons. Thank you, Jenna!💖

Wow, u have helped to clear up my road block with trees! Can’t believe I didn’t need to attend an art class in person to work on this skill! You are a blessing
I painted 15 trees from memory a few days after watching your video. Today I rewatched and am ready to paint 15 more trees. I would never have thought to use the #2 brush for these. Seeing and doing is believing.

Jenna, I once went to a craft night and I seem to remember doing flowers starting in the middle, taking and doing a large circle by swirling the brush. Could you do a video on that?
These are the best water color trees in my opinion! I LOVE YOUR TREES! I love painting trees and your style is after my heart so thank you for doing this video, I love learning from you, and I just found you!! But now you inspire me!! Hi Jenna, I'm new at watercolors and don't have that Jenna Rainey touch yet. :) Just got my Heritage brushes and really like them. Made my first trees and the good thing is-they look like trees. The bad thing is: they don't look like good trees, lol. But I I'll be repeating them later. I am really enjoying all of the basics, building my foundation one step at a time. Thanks for your wonderful tutorials. :)
I have done TV interviews. I was the same as you when I started. I was looking at the producer for signals. You did a GREAT JOB WITH THE TREES. Its something I struggle with and that's not a good thing for a landscape painter.
Wow, love that second tree from the left - can imagine a nice landscape painting with a few of those in it. Thanks.

I love it Thanks 💖
I re-watched the video and did a new row of trees beneath my original ones. Night and day! The shaping and shadowing is so much better. The trunks look more natural, and-lol-the branches on the last two trees are not all going out to the right and left. When I looked at them yesterday I realized they reminded me of a kid's drawing of "mommy" where her legs are drawn at the edges of her skirt. Do you know what I mean? 🤪Now I have to improve my flowers...
Thank you so much I just finished watching the entire video. My favourite tree was the first one and last one. The second tree looked like an anime tree❤. The music was very calming. I would also be really happy if you showed me how to draw a camel.

I LOVE this video SO much!! I am so happy I found you and just picked up your book Everyday Watercolor and I'm super excited to dig in. I love your style of teaching and how detailed you are, it's so helpful! I do have a question, I noticed your palette is different than the one linked on Amazon. Is yours one you have had for a while that is no longer available? I did some searching and haven't been able to locate that specific one but I would love to find one like yours if it's possible. Forgive if you covered this already and I missed it! I appreciate you for sharing your knowledge and expertise!

Hey! Thanks so much for the love and support, I appreciate you and your words!! As for the palette, I have been hearing the one I linked is out of stock (I don’t know if that changed), but honestly, I’m not exactly sure where I got my palette. I need to figure that out and let people know because I get questions on it all the time! Sorry I’m not much help on that as of now, but if I find something, I’ll make sure to make a vid or at least post it on my community tab.

So glad this was helpful! Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll keep that in mind for a part 3!
Question Jenna. I see you dip the brush in black then blue and then the green and mix all 3 colors in the green pan; now the green in the pan is not the original green because it has other tones mixed in it. Will all that mixing in the pans with different colors make the colors change their purity? Then when you want to make green by mixing blue and yellow, now the blue has all this other colors and the yellow looks like brown. I don't know, I guess I'm just a beginner. I'm used to picking the colors and mixing then in a clean surface. I guess this is a more advance technique of mixing that I will have to learn. I look forward to learning a lot from you. Your are fantastic!
