Watercolor Start to Finish - Preview

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This is a preview of the Watercolor Start to Finish DVD by Carl Purcell, available on his website: carlpurcell.com, or you can rent or purchase the Full HD video here: vimeo.com/ondemand/starttofinish
In the full DVD Carl demonstrates his approach by painting a street scene from the Tuscan village of Monteriggioni. He shows how to look beyond the obvious surface details to the underlying colors. Then he demonstrates how to execute a multi-colored, sparkling wash for the foundation of the painting.
You will also learn how to achieve rich darks that vibrate with life, how to respond to shapes instead of items, and how to finish up with meaningful details that do not disturb the freshness of the initial washes.
From start to finish Carl will demonstrate the mingling of colors on the paper, the use of water to achieve freshness and spontaneity, and the movement of lights to lead the eye through the composition.

I loved when you confessed to fear in starting your painting, that is so true! You are a true artist with the thoughtful way you painted and explained it.

Really like the way you do these videos, beautiful painting techniques and results are wonderful. Especially love the thoughtful planning process you use and the way you explain what you are doing. Even the hesitation in the beginning…. You talk the viewer through it. Bravo 👏

Thank you very much! I think most of the work, the hard pat, is prior to putting brush to paper.
