about two months worth of sketches! using primarily watercolor, calligraphy markers, and some brush pen and gouache. all around Seattle, Washington.

Artist supplier Arteza sent me this sketchbook & the gouache and brush pen set for me to try out.
my thoughts on the sketchbook:
the size and weight is satisfying to hold and gives you a lot of room to work.
the wrapped linen cover held up well as it was thrown roughly around in my bag.
for every spread of cold press there's a spread of hot press paper. I preferred the hot press. the colors seemed to show up better and I couldn't get a satisfying/dynamic watercolor wash on the cold press. to each their own!
the paper did hold up well and didn't warp or bleed onto the other side.
I like the big pocket on the inside back cover for holding onto loose papers and such.

Another amazing sketchbook flip-through! Have you thought about doing posting a real time sketch session? It would be cool to see your sketch process, tools you use, etc.
I love all your sketches but the urban sketching is my favorite. You have a bit of everything in there, from Chevy ( a great slice of American ) to the quaintness of local coffee shops. I have a question please: What watercolor do you use (?).. because the blue pigmentation is fantastic! I subscribed to see more of your work but may follow you on Twitter if you post more there. thank you!! urban sketching is also my favorite :) I use mostly Daniel Smith colors, but that very intense very blue ultramarine color is by Qor and I'm in love with it. i post occasionally on Twitter but more on Instagram @herbcoil and still a bit on Tumblr (equivocations.tumblr.com).

Hey Eleanor, I love your flip-through videos, they are so beautiful! Also very slickly produced -- I was wondering if you could tell me which tripod / equipment you use to film them? And any other tips would be gratefully received as I need to produce something similar. THanks! :)

Hi! I'm glad you think it's slick, it's pretty low effort actually. I'm using a regular 3 leg tripod and a Canon EOS 7D camera to film (which were lent to me by my art studio). Natural lighting from a window nearby. Good luck!
