In every class there is always that one person that can’t seem to shut up, making it difficult for everyone else to hear the instruction. Story of my life all through college. Other than that, a fabulous lesson.
This is an excellent teacher! Need to limit students who dominate discussion, this must be hard for instructors.
This is the best tutorial I’ve seen in painting a beach and waves, you broke down the process in such a way it encouraged me to have a go, thank you so much
These more mature artists who grew up before computers, have much to teach us all. They learned the hard way, now it is much easier,ie. KZread tutorials galore one can learn any technique quickly and easily. 😊
Wonderful pictures very talented artist, sorry a little too much audiences participation. 😊❤
This was the most instructional tutorial. I learned so much in this session. It is absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to get started. Thank you so much.
Ohhhh this was as difficult as I anticipated, it was doing the surf wash that I found too advanced for me BUT at least I had a go!!! 😅 Very talented artist and I enjoyed giving it a go, I am going to return to my more beginner tutorials 😅🥳
One of the best tutorials on watercolor I’ve seen… and I look at quite a few! Thank you so much!
Highest mastery of skill and deliberate, very relaxed, well planned execution! Bravo! THANK YOU!
Lovely painting, great teacher, thank you so very much. Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺.

@janinetapp6482 yeah I am just an amateur, but have lots of fun trying, there are some amazing artists out there.
This is just so beautiful…I love being on a beach and always enjoy waves and I can’t believe how you have created this… it is Stunning and the foam is so realistic…Thanku so much for teaching how to create this…I will rewatch it again and again and try it myself… 🙂🥰 x x
Fabulous to see all the layering come together. So great. Thanks.
I'll add my voice. I'm new to watercolor having worked in oils all my life so optimistically, at 82, I'm trying to learn. I have learned so much from this video. Thank you.

@marypartridge5154 hi... someday you will be in the same boat. I hope when you get there that you remember this comment. The elderly have so much to give and we should honor them by being respectful and by listening to their stories which can actually be patr of history. I can say this from experience because I used to feel the same way until I became a senior at 71. I've been a runner for 40 years, I am a decent artist, I have a 165lbs. powerful monster dog. I do things young people do and I respect...

@@marypartridge5154this 82 year old is trying to learn a different medium and I support that. What will you be doing at 82? This "fussy" senior wasn't being fussy as you put it, she or he was just learning. No crocheting for this young lively person. Your comment was so negative that I wouldn't want to be in the same room as you. Not trying to be offensive here, just as a senior, I took offense to your comment. BE NICE, YOU ATTRACT NICE PEOPLE BY BEING NICE!
It sounds really cosy, love it 🙏🏻
This was awesome to watch! I struggle finding real time tutorials who break things down so well. Even the off camera time it took to dry was knowledge. Thank you all for this and I actually did one as you went.
Amazing Instructor! AMAZING tutorial! Many thanks for sharing your knowledge , experience and skill! Outstanding! Bravo!
Thank you for this tutorial! It was very informative. I have to admit there were a few times during the process, when I said, “nooooo, don’t make it darker!” 😂 You obviously knew best! The real icing on the cake was the addition of the white paint at the end. That made the painting. I love it!!
It is so fun, I just tried it out, and I will try again. Thank you for showing how to paint it. 👍 👍 ❤️
I absolutely loved this! What a wonderful way to use white in a seascape, never seen it before and I’m completely inspired to try it ❤
Wow! Marci is an amazing teacher. I learned so much during this one tutorial. She should think about teaching in a patreon setting. I'd sign up in a heartbeat
А very good teacher- without hurrying, calmly, explaining and showing! Thanks!!!
Vous êtes une excellente observatrice! Bravo!
Thank you Marci and Monroeville Library, I learned so much. So often "transparent watercolorist" don't use white and I've gone through so many hoops trying to keep the white of the page but sometimes you just have to use white! This is the first time I've come up with a painting of the ocean waves that I've liked!!

Agreed. Somewhere along the line someone said you can't use white and created some arbitrary rule. I purposely use white now and it creates so many neat effects.
Thank you . Wonderful instructions. Learned so much. Saving to watch again!❤️
Incredible, so realistic!!!! Will give it a try ❤
Waw! That is awsome. Thank you.
Thank you - it was beautiful!
Extraordinary skill and beautiful painting. Wow.
Great tutorial. But the two voices talking over each other in the background is annoying.

Way too much chatter! The painting, however, is beautiful and I learned a lot! Thank you.
Would love to see a list of materials (paint colors, reference photo) pinned !
Looks like this above painting of the sea would have taken at least over 1 hour or so; But at the end it is absolutely beautiful and looks so natural. Also thanks for giving a good idea of painting the waves. Wilfred
INCREIBLE! muy bien exolicado. Gracias
I learned do many things… thank you.
Thanks a lot! What a wonderful picture!
Un dipinto spettacolare, complimenti davvero!!
Why has this women coming to this class? She can't shut up and listen. Marci is trying to teach her painting skills. Love Marci work.
Bellissimo mi sono incantata a guardare il bianco cosa hai usato Grazie
Wonderful tutorial!
What are the names of the blue paints used in the sky and water?
That chatty lady drove me nuts
Was the white used neat straight from the tube or with water added?
No, I try to learn and enjoy my free time of retiring.
Hello. Thanks for your lessons. I would like to know if the white used is tempera (gouache) or watercolor. Sorry for the wording but I am not fluent in English and I use Google Translate. A cordial greeting.
Do you use the white straight from the tube or are you using gouache?
❤
A great teacher
Thank you for a great tutorial. I think when go off camera, you can skip the pause.😮
Great tutorial. As a first time watercolor painter, please indicate what type of brushes you are using and how to use them….if possible during the tutorial. Thank you!
They should tell the class to hold the chatter to a minimum . The class would learn more!
The viewers are distracted by class members, and I feel that the blank board moments are too long, though I realize what you are doing. Perhaps you could continue explaining to us. Thanks for a good demo.
Hello Could you tell me what white do you use. Thank
Marcy, thank you so much for this tutorial. I learned a lot!. Where can I get your e mail, so I can folow your monthy tutorials? Thank you very much.
Merci 48:30 écume
I’ve never come across these very short handle brushes you are using.
As you used lots of water did you stretch your paper first?
I really like this paiting by Marci Mason very much as it looks so natural. But one more suggestion please is that it will be good if we can see your face so as to know who exactly you are; Also would like to know where are you from actually? Thanks you. God Bless
i wish she list the paint used in this video.
May I know why is table salt added in this painting and what does it do? Wilfred
Courage à toi j'ai vaicu 2 incendie dont un ou j'ai tout perdu, suis contente que pour toi tout fini bien au final à part les désagréments et la frayeur que tu as eu, j'espère que tu retrouveras vite ton appartement
Very good lesson, very good teacher but I regret it's a bad video recording.
excuse me please , what is the white color , acrilic? or watercolor
Once you got through the preamble of the annoying stupid questions the tutorial was ok. Never invite questions whilst demonstrating anything. Just do it. Shoot first then invite questions.
Agree the other voice is distracting.. Seems to be talking for the sake of it!!
Needs to be edited and wow, so many commercials! The painting and the lesson are great.
Wish that you showed your pallet so we could have seen the colors. You had room on the right side.
I had to mute the sound because there were way too many voices distracting from the painting process.
Where is the reference photo?

I loved this. Ive been watercoloring for awhile now, consider myself a bit above beginner level. Ive watched probably over 500 youtube and other videos on this subject. I must say that, yes the women was asking questios, but I'm m sorry you nay sayers down BELOW me, how else is one to learn if one does not ask...? ESPECIALLY in a in class situation! If you guys dont like the questions then why dont you guys mute it? Seeing as you think you knew all the anwsers to all the questiosn asked then you dont need to hear what the teacher has to say and only need to watch what she does! Ta da problem solved and we didnt even have to put any one down for being an intelligent human being and proved this by askjng SMART questions about the subject in which she is in a CLASS for...oh and about the video quality and the video having a couole seconds of blank screen time...come guys use those same fingers you use to complain and do something proactive abd slide the bar forward in time and skip it...wow not too bad huh? And once again we solved the complaints we had and made without much thought all by ourselves and without putting someone down! Keep in mind you dont have tk watch this really skillful free class if you dont want to! I loved it a lot. Thank again. GO LIBRARY CLASSES! WOOHOO!

Going by your long winded, sarcastic and condescending comment, I would guess YOU are the one in a class talking over the teacher and constantly slowing down the flow for everyone else, making you similar to that annoying woman in the video, which is why you were so defensive about her.
Enjoyed this tutorial..but teacher needs to get more control of student chatter, which was so disruptive.
Pity about the shadows in video
Are you a local Artist?
Good demo other woman in background time consuming frustrating disadvantage
yes lady irritating in backround but amazing teacher I anm going to the beach in north carolina maybe I can give it a go!
Aloha, VeryNice painting techniques™. Was hoping/waiting on that constant squawking bird to pipe down on her ?'s. lol >not. edit her out & speed it up a notch.God Bless✝
Please edit out the part where we have to stare at an empty space while painting is being dried. It is wasteful on our data and time. Thanx though for a good tutorial on a seascape. Beautifully executed.
Color?

This was wonderful, I loved everything, except for the woman one in particular who wouldn’t shut up and acted like it was all her class for herself. Perhaps you could tell them to begin with it’ll be time for questions.

She was probably participating to the best of her ability. We all have different levels of social skills and some people don’t know when they’re irritating other people. She sounded to me like a lovely woman who perhaps was a little lonely, just my guess, and was trying to participate fully in this experience. What the people in the room failed in which someone watching from afar feels about what happened or probably very different. You might’ve seen it differently. Had you been in the situation. I try to offer understanding, I find it’s the most accurate way to perceive people.

No one is saying she shouldn’t ask questions, just not be so oblivious to others and talk over the teacher. She’s old enough to know better.

@@barbarayoung2846 this was taped for an in-person class. The purpose wasn’t to post it as a tutorial, but just to show the class that existed. In a classroom setting this was probably fine, you simply can’t judge it unless you were there. People online are just so critical over so little.
Agreed ...but shame about the loud mouth pupil on the background
Lovely tutorial. I wish that person would stop interrupting. She just wants attention
There are shadows all over the paper…
Great tutorial. I wish you could limit the time on people's callins.
Please keep background conversation to a minimum.
Interesting techniques. No matter which type of class, there is always a person who consistently interrupts the instructor/professor. It causes everyone else to miss important instruction and interrupts the flow of the lesson. They can't be muted in a video or the instructor is also muted. If you fast forward, then you miss important points. Maybe if the video had editing, it would be better.
Why is that woman talking about acrylics when shes being taught watercolors?
Good painting. In winsor and newton paints, Chinese White is LESS opaque than Titanium White. This is true for most brands, so I think your words in the video were incorrect.
So many shadows -
It's very distracting with the people talking in the background. It also takes away from you being able to to talk and teach. It would be nice to see your materials as well. Nice job with the painting though.
Tell people to shut up…
The lighting was not great. Bummer! And the people talking. Geeeze. Just give handouts for these questions or edit out!!
The talk must be clear and precise,,,,this is blurring ,not good
to much chatter in the background
Sorry not for watercolor site
There are stupid questions and we heard some today.

Посмотрите сами это видео- это же невозможно наблюдать мелькание рук и теней течение 10 минут. У меня не хватило терпения наблюдать этот кошмар..... Разве можно так не ценить чужое время?
This is water colour why talk about acrylics 😅
