Watercolor Made Easy with Marci Mason: Rollovers

Marci Mason, award-winning Pittsburgh artist, continues her series of master classes cosponsored by Monroeville Public Library and Monroeville Arts Council, as she demonstrates how to paint a water scene, showing intensities of color as well as layering and how to make water move.

In every class there is always that one person that can’t seem to shut up, making it difficult for everyone else to hear the instruction. Story of my life all through college. Other than that, a fabulous lesson.

@marypartridge5154 hi... someday you will be in the same boat. I hope when you get there that you remember this comment. The elderly have so much to give and we should honor them by being respectful and by listening to their stories which can actually be patr of history. I can say this from experience because I used to feel the same way until I became a senior at 71. I've been a runner for 40 years, I am a decent artist, I have a 165lbs. powerful monster dog. I do things young people do and I respect...

@@marypartridge5154this 82 year old is trying to learn a different medium and I support that. What will you be doing at 82? This "fussy" senior wasn't being fussy as you put it, she or he was just learning. No crocheting for this young lively person. Your comment was so negative that I wouldn't want to be in the same room as you. Not trying to be offensive here, just as a senior, I took offense to your comment. BE NICE, YOU ATTRACT NICE PEOPLE BY BEING NICE!

I loved this. Ive been watercoloring for awhile now, consider myself a bit above beginner level. Ive watched probably over 500 youtube and other videos on this subject. I must say that, yes the women was asking questios, but I'm m sorry you nay sayers down BELOW me, how else is one to learn if one does not ask...? ESPECIALLY in a in class situation! If you guys dont like the questions then why dont you guys mute it? Seeing as you think you knew all the anwsers to all the questiosn asked then you dont need to hear what the teacher has to say and only need to watch what she does! Ta da problem solved and we didnt even have to put any one down for being an intelligent human being and proved this by askjng SMART questions about the subject in which she is in a CLASS for...oh and about the video quality and the video having a couole seconds of blank screen time...come guys use those same fingers you use to complain and do something proactive abd slide the bar forward in time and skip it...wow not too bad huh? And once again we solved the complaints we had and made without much thought all by ourselves and without putting someone down! Keep in mind you dont have tk watch this really skillful free class if you dont want to! I loved it a lot. Thank again. GO LIBRARY CLASSES! WOOHOO!

She sounded to me like a lovely woman who perhaps was a little lonely, just my guess, and was trying to participate fully in this experience. What the people in the room failed in which someone watching from afar feels about what happened or probably very different. You might’ve seen it differently. Had you been in the situation. I try to offer understanding, I find it’s the most accurate way to perceive people.

Interesting techniques. No matter which type of class, there is always a person who consistently interrupts the instructor/professor. It causes everyone else to miss important instruction and interrupts the flow of the lesson. They can't be muted in a video or the instructor is also muted. If you fast forward, then you miss important points. Maybe if the video had editing, it would be better.
