I'm interested in learning more about the rubber stamp/block you mentioned, not in the materials list. Specifically which type, rubber or linoleum.. what holds up to the heat of the wax? Did you make your own block by adhering the carved block to a piece of wood? Do you have any demo videos of using this? Thanks! I suppose this is an alternative to the expensive Tjap stamps made of copper?

I have heard of people using wax as a resist on wood so maybe it would work on rocks too. It is always fun to experiment and find out.

Thank you for this! Is the 20% discount code still available for the class? Also, can you use soy wax for this? I know there are toxic concerns with heating paraffin (oil based).

I have tried other papers and Ginwashi works the best however you can try it on something else. Watercolour paper is quite thick so you will need to make sure the wax penetrates it. The look is different with different types of paper.
