Thank you so much for all you provide for us. I can't believe that someone had a go at you for promoting your courses!!! How else are we supposed to find out what you have? On your website I know, but when we don't know you, its the best way to start to know you. Personally I love to see in these tutorials what you have upcoming or is just about to drop. In other words - I love that you promote your courses. This wonderful instruction on gum arabic, thank you so much.

Also, pay no mind to those few negative people out there. The great majority of your viewers appreciate all you teach us. Love your cat too. ❤

Thank you Michele, and your floral turned out beautifully.
This is coming out of left field ….. way out. I enjoy watching 2 artists on you tube, both English, and one is you Michele. Your magnolia painting reminds me of 1940’s wall paper, which I love. Beautiful bright color and a certain drawing style that to me is the best and most interesting in the world. Every day your work brings a smile to my face and I thank you.

Thank you for reminding me about Gum Arabic, I like to pain reflexions .... not very successfully I'm afraid but I'd love you to explain water reflections and, shaddows, I have trouble understanding where shaddows on buildings should fall. Yay background tutorials! I have so much trouble with backgrounds, especially if ive painted something with little details. I often love drying lines, but sometimes if you've got a lot of detail you have to go around you end up with a bold outline of your image. "Slight feeling of madness about it, but thats just my painting style" also my living style 😅 magnificent ❤

Could you mount your camera to the board that you are working on? There is a photography tool called a copy stand. It has a camera mount in the middle and two or more lights on the sides for oblique lighting. While using a manufactured stand would not work for you, because the structure of the supports would get in your way, you could set up a similar rig, with two or more oblique lights, and a turntable in the middle, to let you rotate the painting without altering your ability to work. (Sorry, I'm a fixer. I have experience from another form of work, that I think might be useful to you. It is well meant.)
fantastic tutorial, this makes such a fun effect, i love watching your videos, you have such a wonderful way of explaining ❤❤❤

Thank you again for another great lesson. I love the boldness of your painting style! I purchased some gum arabic for the landscape course and can't wait to try it on a background! Looking forward to the floral course, my favorite subject to paint. As a future topic, I would be interested in some ideas on how to paint foreground foliage like ferns and potted greenery in a landscape foreground.

Your mention of ants sparked an idea. What about little insect studies? There might be some interesting techniques to explore, such as how to mimic the metallic iridescence of beetles and the soft powdery-ness of butterfly wings.

I first came across gum Arabic in your landscape course, to see how you use it here is useful too. How else does one use it? I find white ( as in petals ) difficult to meister as a beginner but, it was interesting to watch. Also when I saw your name & a magnolia picture I thought, I’ve seen this video?! But, no, you’ve done similar ones with Magnolia buds etc. as I looked through them! Thanks

Loved your comment that you would choose to study ants than play a video game. So cool.
