    @@ReefDudes I already have a 6 ft tank but it's in a corner as I can only see 2 sides. I always wanted a peninsula so now it will be so..already have the xr15s

    @@ReefDudes that may be true but it's still summertime I had a buddy back in the day lost a bunch of coral due to how weather I live in Florida so I have Central AC it's not a problem once the temperature gets in the high 80s that can be a problem

    Man this smoke has been crazy! had to keep all the windows closed and ph definitely suffered, glad its clearing and we can let the air in again!

    I've living in a very wildfire smoky environment as well. I have two air scrubbers (real hepa air filters; floor models) running inside my apartment. I suggest you give it a try, for you alone, if not for your aquarium inhabitants. Great tank -- great work you're doing and keeping ahead of the 'bumps' in the road!

    @@ReefDudes Mine are Winnix brand -- I've got the P450 and the P300. They have both a carbon filter and a true HEPA filter. On bad days here there was a noticeable haze in the air between my couch and tv screen :) It's nice not to be able to taste and see the air in my apartment anymore :)

    Phosphate -E = lanthanum spike I’m using Tropic Marin NP Bacto at present which seems quite good but it does appear to lower your PH slightly.

    I dose Phosphate-E in my 220 Waterbox as well. I believe you're supposed to dose it right before the skimmer so it plucks the phosphate out as it binds. You're not supposed to dose it in the overflow/display. The little particles that it produces is what will harm the fish (esp. Tangs)

    Doesn't help if you want it to be a showpiece, but we found out that to keep the tanks from overheating to keep them in the basement. Even in upstate NY they could cook the fish during summer.

    Not for a long time, the sailfin is already 10-13 years old. The trigger is still young

    I have daily small auto water changes. Ever few months I’ll manually vacuum a chunk of the sand bed

    Not heard of Boost pH?! Would you recommend it? I run a canister filter and pH is an issue for me given I have no skimmer, but I always read pH boosters were just alk supplements. Thanks!

    Still early with playing with it. But on a smaller tank it has some good potential. on a large tank it would take alot of product.

    Yep i did, ran out of some of it though, havent doesd it in a few weeks.. prob send off an new ICP test in the nxt week or two and figure out what i need

    How much a guess based off the weekly does split into smaller daily doses Replenish - Is a broad-spectrum trace element - 2ml/day Chaeto Gro - Nutrients to keep chaseto goin gstron g- 2ml/day Koral Color - nutrients to help with colors - 3ml/day Restor - ammino acids 4ml/day

    its running off a 12v adapater going to a noctua fan controller to dial down the speed then to the fans (they were too loud at 3000rpm)

    Bit of love. 😂 Phos e. Works the bomb. Dose in sump. Bummer cant have windows open. Those fires are making it to us on upper east coast. Nasty. Air is white...have to run ac to keep air clean. Cant imagine how you all are dealing with this. Yucky. Gonis are nasty with other corals.

    Wet the nori, fold it into a rectangle, roll it into a blunt, fold the blunt in half into a V shape, shove the Nori V into the mesh bag. Lemme know how that works for you.

    I always prefer to push. I find its better at getting all of the air out and makes it run quieter.

    Your phosphate drops 0.1, or 0.01? I think you meant 0.01 per 3mL dosed, but sounded like you said 0.1? That would be a big drop!

    The "room" is basically 80% of the upstairs of the house... I may need to invest into a bigger AC if these hear waves keep up.

    @@ReefDudes I put in a new central AC and I decided to put my tank in finish basement do to it’s cool in summer. Even when I had a black out last year for 8 days. Room temp was 76 during heat wave. It’s now we have to think where is the best place to keep our aquarium even in this condition. Like 👍 your KZread
