How the watery world of the Chesapeake Bay region once functioned and how natural elements, like beavers and trees, could help clean the water again.

A recent transplant to the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. It's my favorite topic to learn about the past few years, from the wildlife in the estuaries, to the watermen culture, to Harriet Tubman, to Native American history. I make the opinion that Bay culture is as significant as the culture of New Orleans and am grateful for the books, podcasts, photography, museums, and videos celebrating the Bay.

a beautiful film, thank you. In the UK, we have many similar issues. We are just reintroducing beavers to the country and rediscovering the landscapes they create after hunting them to local extinction many years ago

Growing up in Virginia I never passed up an opportunity to fish or hunt around a Beaver Watershed.....They are natures master dam builders which in turn creates a more diverse species Eco System.....

Wonderful perspective on the historical landscape long forgotten. Beavers are treated as a nuisance and pest, when as ecologists we call them ecosystem engineers- how can we be so far apart in our appreciation of these critical creatures?

Best news ive heard in 8 years and I thought it was me getting sober 8 years ago. More more. Also go beavers and think, our toad and thistle with our cousin the spider and eagle are all the mountains babies and the wetlands is the papa looking after them for the sky to stay above us and shine at night
