Black flag imo is still better given the fact that you actually stumble around when running in the water. Black flag was so ahead of its time. Ever since syndicate released, all the AC games turned to crap. Origins, odyssey, and especially Valhalla, all don't even feel like AC games anymore. Now it's just an open world with some charcter you play as. There's barely any assassins or talk of the association. It's juts "grab axe and kill"

Let's talk about the physics of Jacob's hat.

The original Assasins Creed will always be my favorite. If you replay it, you'll see just how much of the storyline they already had planned in the first game. And those graphics back then were amazing. I played it on the Xbox 360 when it first came out.

I still can't believe how good the animation blend is when running in water in ac3 and 4. There's at least 3 different animations for both walking and running and they flow perfectly. This also happens when running on land, the movements are so fluid

Water in Odyssey is so beautiful. Looks vibrant yet not too saturated.

Fact: Due to Animus glitch, Altair was prevented to swim but its canonically that he is a good swimmer

I like the idea of one of the most deadly characters in gaming not being able to swim, making it seem like he is human after all

Assassin's creed Black Flag is just pure gold in all scenarios

The game set in the desert has the best water

I like how the npcs don't even care to look towards a fancy dressed guy casually jumping in the water right beside them. Either they have inhuman dedication towards their work, or the devs weren't just paid enough

Imagine jumping in the water as your ancestor only to realise they never knew how to swim 😅
