Could you guys do a video of pouring a lead joint on a cast iron water main, step by step?

It’s really easy . Pack it with okaum and pour your lead from one position and let it roll . Although I’ve only done residential

@@HarrisWaterandSewer do you guys mostly deal with Terracotta pipe? (Clay pipe) . In Baltimore City it’s all clay and we run new pvc sch 40 for residential and cast for commercial if specified.

@@drainjunkiessorry for the late response. I've seen small sewers done, like 4" and 6", but I didn't know if the process would be done differently with a water main. I work for a municipal water utility, and we repack lead joints on 16"+ water mains from time to time (the one time we're legally allowed to use lead is to repair lead joints) but we hammer lead in cold, and then install a joint clamp. I have been unable to find any videos of larger lead joint pours or really any lead joints on water mains at all, and I think it would be a great thing to have.
