@jeb in theory if you choose 'lengthen hair' or something as one of your hair goals, then I'm guessing it should? but I don't know since that's not something I picked as a goal.

If you do this method on blonde hair with a lot less purple dye in the water then it's a really quick easy way to tone your hair :)

I do this way my white hair! For me, a dip of 5 seconds is enough to tone it all. It always turn out even and beautiful 🖤🙌🏻

We were doing "100 days till graduation'here in belgium. And they took a black and yellow hair paint spray to spray the belgium flag on my ginger head. We were laughing "its gonna be on there for days!" It stayed on my head for a MONTH

@@ch527kerosene also weird...it smelled really funny when they sprayed it. And this girl had like created a cardboard cutout to maximize the straightness of the colors. Had to touch my hair as little tougj otherwise the colors mixed at the borders haha

I’ve been mixing my dye with conditioner 1:1 ratio to keep it vibrant. Works so well and I can actually just do it in the shower without staining everything in sight!! I love vibrant color but have no patience to keep it in all day lol Love the pixie cut btw !!! You really do look great no matter what you do

It definitely gave it a refresher and it seems like a good way to use up leftover bits of dye.

Honestly: every time you upload I pause everything and immediately watch your video, haha. 🤗

I love the vid and actually fun fact i know your channel/videos for so long but sadly i wasn’t following you so i kinda lost your channel bc it wasn’t in my suggestions anymore but earlier this year i found your channel again and i’m happy about it so yea haha sorry my comment isn’t interesting but i love you continue to be you byeee 😘 (Not me thinking I’m genuinely talking w you haha)

I kinda used to do this when I still had dyed hair. Only I put lukewarm water in my sink and dumped in a spoonful of the dye and dunked in my hair. It definitely was enough to quickly freshen up the color when it was very faded. It was definitely more visable than for you, it usually were darker colors and it was way more faded. The only downside to it was that it washed out A LOT faster than when I dyed it normally. So I wouldn’t use this method to get a basic dye-job. But as for dyeing wigs/extensions, or freshing up a washed out color or toning your hair it’s really so convenient.

Before seeing I’ll say it works because I’ve done this method before with Arctic Fox when I had dreads and it worked

When I used to only have a 1/3 of a jar of manic panic and needed to refresh, I would put it in a spray bottle and only dilute it enough to where it wouldn't gunk in the sprayer, then spray my hair from the nape up in like 5 horizontal sections.

Really like your hair. I have mine deep purple and last time saved some effort and time by mixing the dye with conditioner. I saw that it is quick, save dyer for more applications and it is easy to just touch up and wash. Now I am desiring to change my hair color. Let's see how it works to use this method to dye it pink pastel n.n

Ah yes, find memories of when I first dyed my hair, using kool aid. I was like 12, and I didn't ask parental permission lmao. I dyed the ends of my hair by putting my hair (which was long at the time) in a ponytail and then sitting with the end of it in a mug of about 2/3 mug of hot water mixed with like a packet of kool aid. I didn't even like, look up directions. I called my friend who told me I needed hot water so I used hot water and it worked!

on the plus side, this is a great way to clean out old dye containers so you can recycle them

If you ever are low on dye (like the amount in the video) and wanna refresh without wasting a lot of dye to be sent down the drain vs absorbed into your hair, water dilutes a lot, you are better off making a color refresher mixture using the dye left and shampoo or conditioner, whichever you use the most of and mix those two together in the shower and let it sit in your hair, after running your fingers throughout your whole scalp to ends (or where ever you only want color deposited) several times, for 5-15 (depending on how light or dark the dye color is, lighter - less time, darker - more time) min before rinsing. Blamo color refresh with less dilution due to water. Also wash & rinse with cold water, cold water seals in color while hot water pushes it out, plus hot water is very bad/damaging for your hair/scalp.

I mix powder dye into water and just dip my head into it to dye my hair. It works for me because my hair is bleached white blond and its porous.

That methods could be a good way to keep the dye job looking fresh If you do a soak during every shampoo wash (so between the soap and conditioner), obvi keep the bucket in a safe place if u have the space, and put a lid on the bucket idk 🤷‍♂️

You should get one of those inflatable hair washing basins and put it in there. Put the basin on the ground and lay on the ground with your hair in the basin. You still won't be able to do your whole scalp, but it will be much easier on the rest of your body and you will be able to stay in there longer.
