I've been using 5 gal plastic jerry cans for a couple of years. I've thought of doing the bladder bag and your video has spurred me to rethink and do it. I already have a spare water pump as you do and it's a perfect solution to our Quartzsite camps each year. The 30 gal one will fit nicely into the back of my towed jeep. Like your videos and will keep liking and watching.

Hi Roger. I actually switched gears a little and ended up holding onto my collapsible water jugs in addition to the bladder. They seem to work better for smaller fills. I now use both. We really appreciate you for watching! 😃

That one is already in my cart to purchase. I like the idea of a backup pump the same as the rigs pump. Was going to use the Ryobi transfer pump since I have several of the tools already. Now I have to rethink all this. Thank you for the review

Hey Steve. I ended holding onto my collapsible jugs as a backup. They are good for small fills. I didn’t realize that Ryobi makes pumps. I will have to check them out. Thanks for watching and for the comment.

Good evening. Thank you for this great information! Yes...our trailer should be delivered in July or August; predominately for boondocking. It will have an 80gal tank, but I definitely need to look into water supply. We'd like to get about 1 week of not needing to refill. Safe travels!!

We don't do a lot of boondocks games but a fair amount of state parks are electric only. This is a great option for us.

Hello - We time it out so that we stay out for about 9 days before moving and dumping at a facility.

60 gallons of water 💦 times 8.50 LBs per gallon of water is 510 LBs of water weight to haul so make sure your vehicle can handle the weight. I have the same 60 gallon aqua tank for camping 🏕️. It’s the right size and amount so as not to overload my vehicle 🚗.

but the bladder will last far longer than the jugs will. so the cost is over decades, (mine is over 10 years old and going strong. just at home after usage, push filtered air through it to dry it out (mold thing).. my 160 gallon fits in the bed of my truck behind the hitch, and in front of the tail gate with all kinds of room for more junk. like the 5 gallon water jugs. but in decades past i have seen group's one truck has six loaded 55 gallon water barrels. that might be a over load even for a one ton.

We have repairs here and there. Which is to be expected. 😀😀🚎

Might be too much weight for cargo capacity of our 1/2 ton. Each gallon weighs 8 pounds. Looks like a great option though.

Yes. Water is definitely not light. Water jugs might be a good option for you.

I have the 30 gallon version, which weighs right at 250 lbs full. You definitely need to look at your weight capacity before buying one. They do come in several sizes, though. I think you can get them in 15, 30, 60 and 150 gallons. The 150 gallon model is probably not too portable, since it would be around 1250 lbs. Might be good for emergency use at home, though.

I can understand why you wouldn't want to hook up your rig to go get it filled with water. But don't you have to hook it up in order to go somewhere to dump your holding tanks? If not, what do you do about dumping your gray and black holding tanks?

We can go about 11 days without dumping our black. We recycle wash water into the black. Also - We have a waste caddy that can go into the back of the truck.

Our trailer holds 96 gallon of fresh water. Our grey tank capacity is 106 and our black tank capacity is 106. So you will need more fresh water before you ever need to dump your waste tanks 👍

@@TheBorderHookups It's an Alliance Valor 40v13. We chose it because of Quality and Capacity. Our plans are to boondock as much as possible and haul our Rykers to see the sites. Kinda hard to cruise around most places with our Duelly 🤣😂

Does your rig hold less water than the amount you can store in black and grey?.. meaning you would still have black and grey capacity after you run out of water? Do you guys dump grey on the ground so you can stay longer? I was going to get a bladder but my wife said she would never boondock that long that we would need over the 100 gallons of water we can hold in our DP :) :) We boondock up to 5 days...and then its time for someplace with a swimming pool :)

We always have more fresh capacity with our fresh water. We equalize our grey tanks and use shower runoff for our toilet. You would be amazed by how long you can stay out. Thanks for watching! 😃

SO you cant just use the Sanatize feature or your Nautilus System. or even power fill.

Power fill uses the on board pump to fill the fresh tank. The sanitize mode only feeds the fixtures and puts nothing in the fresh tank.

Good question. I leave the caps off to the it dry out.
