The transition from backing in to leaving at 17:58 was kinda quick and since you didn’t show any of the disconnecting at all, seemed like it could have used a few seconds of that process to indicate that it occurred.

Man, Dave you’ve come a long way man! I’ve been tuned into your videos since 2021. It’s REALLY cool to see you ride thru my city, Rock Hill! FINALLY! Haha. I literally work 30 seconds away from that Ross you dropped off at. I used to drop Schneider containers off there. Ironically, the Schneider terminal that I trained at was in Fairburn, GA 😂 Anyway, this video was a treat particularly. You’ve helped me get thru those anxieties with trucking school back in 2021 while (watching you lowkey go thru the same 😅😂). But now, my confidence is so much higher these days after a few years of practice. Glad to finally relate to you on another level and seeing you cruise thru the SC territory with grace! This was great man- loved watching this! Love the content as always.

Ya know.. I was just thinking on the way home "I hope there's a Riding with Dave video when I get home" and look what happened 😅😍

A lot of fast-food chains in my area have opened up their dine ins again now and I love it, because often times people will still use the drive thru despite there being like a huge line. So I can go in and get my food and 9 times out of 10 I'll get out before where I would have been in line.

Trucking sure has changed since i started in 73.Used to get pretty grubby roping open flat trailers .And sheeting loads and chaining .I remember i had a 2 week course in roping and sheeting 10 hours a day 5 days a week for 2 weeks.No 10 min unloads back then .Time i unroped a 40 foot trailer and got the sheets off and rolled up on a hot day i was soaked in sweat.Had no AC not even a radio in the trucks we had back then. Was only a day cb truck.Used to truck to many places on over night stays and stayed in driver accomadation with maybe 6 beds in a room .Where it was boots under the bed and wallet under your pillow. By tbe time i retired in 04 i could practically go to work in the truck in a suit .double sleeper AC / heater / CB / TV / phone. Boy i would not have missed the early days though for the world.

It only takes less than a minute to close your doors however the problem comes when you are also taking your lunch break or doing paperwork while closing your doors.

Hey dave!! I have done a drop and hook there before.. it’s Ross right? Drop off in the back and hook up in the large section in the front. Security gives you a piece of paper that you have to give back before leaving. That place is HUGE!!

One thing i've noticed watching your vids and others out there is we need waaaaaay more truck parking at travel plazas, there just simply isn't enough. I've wanted to pursue my CDL OTR but the anxiety of not finding spots at plazas has made me consider if iwant to or not.

As a truck driver myself… I learned that everytime I gotta pee I should stop at the closest rest area or truck stop BECAUSE shit like this ALWAYS happens. I’ve learned the hard way way too many times it sucks. You are right Dave, it happens every single time!!!

AMEN! Plus you can damage your kidneys. I have a friend who now has to use a catheter every time he has to pee because of holding it for so many years. Things just quit working.

I live in the Missouri Bootheel across the Mississippi River from Tennessee and there are no truck parking signs on the ramps there.

And just to let you know. If youre ever on 441 coming through eatonton ga. There is 2 truck stops here. One at the travel center and one at bp by Walmart
