Oh my god that reminds me … you should definitely react to the movie « hearts and Souls » , it’s REALLY good and it’s with that same boy that plays Charlie!
We still quote the meeting scene. "Well isn't that a pretty picture. Santa rolling down the block in a panzer! Well kids, I certainly hope you've been good this year, 'cause it looks like Santa just took out the Pearson home! Incoming!"

Some of my favorite lines are so low key. "You like Osso Buco Charlie?" and "maybe this is a good time to bring up the psychiatrist"
Fun fact: there’s elves hidden all throughout the movie, who look like regular little kids but if you look close they’ve got pointy ears. There’s one in the Denny’s, one in Charlie’s class, a ton at the end… There’re some theories that they knew the old Santa would die that night and that they’d already picked out Scott for the new role, haha (of course, it could’ve just been kid extras who they didn’t want to have to take off and reapply the ears for or something, who knows 😆)

this movie is responsible for me not knowing how to spell Santa Claus for over a decade thank u timmy allen
"I'm used to it [flying], I lived through the '60s!" went straight over my head when I was little, lmao.
I’ve heard the theory before that the previous Santa was actually Bernard‘s father, and I am totally sold on it because it makes so much sense. Why else would he give Charlie the old enchanted snow globe when he had just known him for five seconds? It seems to be an heirloom that goes from one generation of Santa’s children to the next.

I've heard that theory too, also why Bernard is kind of 'arch elf' and 'older' than the other elves, because he was an older kid when his dad became Santa! bc in the sequels we see Charlie older too.
@michaeljacyna1973

I dunno... the con to this theory is that none of the elves seem to mourn the loss of their previous boss, least of all is Bernard. In fact, they seemed thrilled to see a new person. The theory that Bernard just lost his dad exacerbates how weird their reactions are.
@PixarShark

@@michaeljacyna1973 Well, and it was quite possible that that Santa was long overdue for retirement and that’s why there were elves peppered throughout the movie - they were looking for a replacement. Plus we saw he isn’t dead. :D And Bernard, well, he had a job to do. But it might explain why he was so dismissive of Scott at the start. I dunno. It could gel!
@WatchNlaugh123

@@michaeljacyna1973 in the sequels it is explained that once Santa loses his status, everyone forgets that he was ever Santa. Perhaps as a way to stave off the loss? Make it so it seems like there is nothing to mourn? Perhaps the previous Santa is back home with memories of being the big guy and knowing his son (Bernard) no longer remembers him as such. *Shrug* I don't know, lol
I truly love how Nick let’s us see him cry and he doesn’t edit it out or film a new part when he’s not as emotional. But also someone buy this man a box of tissues so he can cry properly.
Nick, please don't apologise for crying. It's a natural human thing, there's nothing wrong with it. Especially during emotional movies and sad moments
When Charlie said "I'm going into the family business." All I could think of was that he was basically saying he's gonna push his dad off a roof one day. 😂

Yep I loved how he lit up like a child ^_^ this movie is magical.
I can understand why this movie is so divisive with people who watch it, but as someone who grew up watching it (it released when I was 4), I absolutely love it. As a kid, I loved the magic of it, but as an adult I love watching Scott find the magic of Christmas again throughout the movie. Hope you had a wonderful holiday; thanks for the great reaction!
When I was nearly 6, my sister Kathy pulled me out of bed to show me that there was no Santa and that Mom and Dad got us the presents. I was furious-Because she woke me out of a sound sleep! I knew we'd get presents no matter the source!
I don't know how anyone could dislike this movie! It's a little dated now, but the themes in it are so amazing. As a kid, a truly believed Tim Allen was Santa Claus. He was amazing in the role in all the movies.
The first time I ever watched this movie was when I was a year old. My parents set a blanket on the floor, lined me, my brother, and my sister on it in a line on our tummies, and we watched the movie. I grew up with the Santa Clause. No doubt, a great movie. Also, I'm 13 and I still believe in Santa.

My family loves watching Santa clause, we watch it every Christmas.
This movie is my childhood, I love it and it will always and I mean ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart and I love the other two movies as well My favourite quote from this movie is “seeing isn’t believing, believing is seeing, kids don’t have to see this place to know that it’s real, they just know”.
Nick, you should Check out GALAXY QUEST which is the best Star Trek Parody ever made! Tim Allen plays an actor whom, along with his castmates, are mistaken for real space heroes and end up getting recruited by friendly aliens to fight off an intergalactic warlord.

Curious to share: what’s your favorite Christmas gift? I’ll go first. When I was four, I got a teddy bear named Trevor Teddy. He’s tan with a light grey sweater and a Christmas tree on it. My great aunt gave him to me and I loved that bear so much; I’d cuddle with it every night in December. It was also the last gift I got from my great aunt before she passed (she lived for ten more years after that but her Alzheimer’s developed fast and she didn’t put thought into gifts anymore). When I was 11, I took a Christmas trip driving with my family and we stopped in NC at a hotel and I lost Trevor Teddy (some maid stole him). I was devastated. For ten years, my family tried to replace him with other bears but it wasn’t the same and I was heartbroken. Then, ten years later, Christmas comes and there’s a gift under the tree in paper I didn’t recognize labeled ‘To Alyssa From Santa’ in handwriting I didn’t recognize; it was Trevor Teddy. I burst into tears at my childhood toy back again. Turns out my father spent the last ten years tracking down that old vintage bear and went through the effort of borrowing neighbor’s wrapping paper and having a coworker write the tag to make me believe it was Santa. 21 years old that day and I was hugging that bear like I was four again. Today, I’m 31 and I still have that bear, and keep it near and dear to my heart. Without a doubt, the best gift I ever got. Comment below if you have a favorite gift from past Christmases.

I absolutely love this story. I’m absolutely sobbing. I’m very emotional, my grandpa recently passed and it was my first Christmas without him. Your story reminds me of my childhood bear. Bay bear. I got him as a baby after having a seizure. My grandpa gave him to me in the hospital. I had lost him for many years after my grandparents moved to Florida. When they moved back my senior year they gave him to me on my birthday. They found him in an old box. It was the best Christmas I have ever gotten. Thank you for bringing that back to me. Merry late Christmas
33:07 In all the years of watching this movie I never noticed the white streak in his hair!
A Disney Holiday classic to this very day since 1994!
Childhood nostalgia increases.
i always always hated that neil an the mum were so adamant on getting their kid away from his dad when he was getting into santa so much like whats wrong with a kid with that kinda imagination? it wasnt hurting anyone.
Another great Christmas film that Tim Allen is in is called Christmas with the Kranks along with Jamie Lee Curtis. Which is based on a novel about a couple whose daughter has joined the peace corpse that Christmas. So the two decide to treat themselves to a cruise by literally skipping the holiday itself. And if you choose not to do it this season but next Christmas season. There are two more sequels to the Santa Clause which in my opinion are just as good.
My Favorite Christmas movie of all time! I rewatch it every year
Charlie is one of the cutest kids I’ve seen in my life
I’m one minute into the reaction and I just want to give Nick a hug. You are by far my favorite reactor. Do your do.
This is a Christmas classic for me ^_^ we watch all three movies each year during the Christmas season. ♥
I had such a crush on Bernard as a kid, haha 😆😆😆😆
My dad's initials are SC and has always made jokes like Tim Allen's. I believed for the longest time in the magic even if I didn't believe in Santa 100%. Only now as an adult has the magic nearly fully gone. I had covid this season so I didn't get to see my family this year or last year for that matter, but in a lot of ways it's helped me reconnect to the magic of the holiday. Watching old movies and enjoying the simple things about the holiday to get me in the spirit made me happy when I've been absolutely ill. Hope everyone this coming new years will be happy and spend time with their loved ones. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's to All.
I always felt the line where Scott says he hopes the guy who lives in the first house they go to is a tailor, was a reference to his character Tim 'the toolman' Taylor from Home Improvement.
Nick I always enjoy watching your reaction videos no matter what it is, I haven’t been watching your reactions lately because I’ve been busy with the holidays and preparing myself for the new year, I hope that you had a good holiday and spending time with your family, and I hope that you and anyone reading this will have a good holiday for the rest of this year and may you all have a good new year!

I think she was just worried for their son :) I understand both sides though honestly Scott/Santa wasn't doing anything harmful so they definitely went too far.
the santa clause trilogy is my favourite! the 2nd and 3rd are super magical :)
Hopefully you have seen three pretty famous films with Tim Allen is Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story films another great film with Tim is the sci fi kind of parody of Star Trek called Galaxy Quest. Tim Allen was arrested before he became famous for trying to sell cocaine in Michigan in an airport to a guy to a guy who ended up being an undercover cop. Also in the beginning of the film when Scott is driving home I never noticed until now is a couple of children in front of the toy shop are elves and they’re there to find their new Santa, Another film you need to see with Judge Reinhold (Neil in this) is Fast Times at Ridgemont High which also has a young Sean Penn. The reindeer in close up were animatronic, but for long shots and in the air stuff were cgi.

I’m not sure how relevant this is, but Santa does stay at the North Pole. He was given 11 months ‘to get his affairs in order’ and to start becoming Santa. Bernard gave Charlie the snow globe so he could see his dad at anytime because Santa was going to live in the North Pole now because his transformation is complete
I love him so much 😂
dont worry, in Spain we have christmas until january 6, the Wise men day...so adapt the xmas movie calendar to it and dont stress too much about it ;)

“I love you Santa Claus.” “I love you, son” Not ‘I love you dad” So in order for his own child to love and respect him, Santa had to happen to die falling off his roof making his dad Santa.
