They didn't have fight with SM. It's SM management who have governance fight. All SHINee members still have group contract with SM and will have group concert in May. Key and Minho also have their solo contract with SM. Taemin with BPM and Onew with Griffin.

SHINee does any and all genres of music, so every title track you'll check out will be different, but they still do a lot of R&B. I think he will prefer most of the b-sides on the HARD album over the title track. Jonghyun being an idol wasn't helping his mental state but it wasn't the cause for what he did, he suffered from seasonal depression since he was 8 years old (long before he even became a trainee), and it was something he battled wit for YEARS. When we went to get medical help, the doctor told him that it was his fault for feeling like that and to suck it up and get over it. he TRIED to get himself help and was denied. And in the end, without the help he needed, he couldn't fight anymore. Taemin and Onew left SM as SOLOISTS, they are still signed to SM as SHINee members, and Taemin spoiled that they are currently working on a comeback as a group and according to SM, it's slated for Q2.

Yup, it really sucks how Korea makes mental illness taboo and many back then didn't have many options to get help. Thankfully it's gotten better and I love that his family did an organization to help idols get therapy/help. The police also took too long to check on him when his sister called for a wellness check(I think it was 15+ minutes). Either they were really busy or didn't take it serious, if that was the case it just once again shows they need to take mental illness more seriously. He should have been on suicide watch aswell because his friend pretty much got a suicide note before he actually did it(not blaming the friend, we have no idea whether or not he sent it to the police or notified his family)

Fun facts about Taemin. He is a self taught dancer though he sought professional lessons later on He is Catholic and a fan of Michael Jackson He was taught to sing by his members leader Onew and the late Jonghyun before seeking professional lessons later on He has known his members key and the late Jonghyun since he was in the 5 grade. Signed with sm age 11 debuted 14 and has been playing piano since he was that age. He's afraid of all insects and bugs but in the mv for want he is holding a real snake 🐍.

SHINee is still primarily an R&B group, but they are also have one of the most diverse discographies in Kpop. If you like the R&B style, you'll probably gravitate towards their older stuff. Jonghyun is perhaps the best example of an R&B/soul vocalist in Kpop (up there with Naul if you know your old-school Korean music), so while he was performing with the group, their R&B sound was strongest.

Thank you for your reaction to SHINee! The Juice performance video (same album as Hard) is fun SHINee still crosses genres and has R&B in their repetoire, with many songs igniting trends in S. Korea. Some of my favorites: Odd Eye, View, Evil, Prism, Sherlock, Lucifer, Excuse Me Miss, Picasso, DxDxD, The Feeling, and so much more. The members are very dear to Shawols (SHINee World fandom) and, as Minho always reminds us, they are Forever Five. In addition to more reactions to their amazing discography, It would be fun to look at their solo work as well: Onew, Jonghyun, Key, Minho, and Taemin. Onew, their leader, is back from hiatus and SHINee is doing a "replay" of their SHINee World IV Perfect Illumination concert at Inspire Arena. (I heard it sold out in 5 minutes.) I just want to say a few points. 1. Jonghyun has had depression since he was younger, before he became trainee/idol, he’s battled it for years and he was vocal about it. 2. SHINee is still together as a group, their contract as a group is still with SM. Just Onew and Taemin”s contracts AS SOLOISTS are not with SM anymore. All SHINee members have solo careers/music that’s why.

They are not disbanded. They are still under SM for Shinee project not solo project. Onew and Taemin have their own seperate company for their solo project.

ShineeWorld is the fanbase. Fans are known as shawols. Taemin left sm entertainment and is now with bpm entertainment. Leader Onew left sm entertainment and is now with Griffin entertainment Key an Minho are still with sm entertainment. Onew and Taemin only do group activities within sm entertainment after onews health scare it was part of his decision to leave sm entertainment. Taemin wasn't happy there any longer which was part of his decision to leave as well.

Only Minho and Key are with SM at the moment but Onew and Taemin left due to their contract I guess wanted more control over their own music so Taemin went to the same company as Baekhyun from EXO for his solo stuff. Onew is doing the same thing too. But they all will regroup for 5HINee promotional stuff. edit: if you saw 5HINee Lucifer they changed alot from they until now too. That song is what introduced me to kpop and Taemin and Jonghyun. Both of whom became my biases. Anyway love your reaction to 5HINee drastic changes but Onew didn't change either like Minho.

I recently became Shawol which is what SHINee fans are called. I started listening to them in 2020 so Jonghyun had already passed away. It seems that he was a very talented person. He suffered from depression but I don’t know if it was the job or other factors which led him to take his own life. I don’t know why Taemin and Onew have signed with different agencies. Minho decided to stay with SM because of CEO, Lee Soo-man, but he has now left so Minho said he needn’t have stayed. Key is one of their style directors. Onew has not been performing with the rest of the group due to ill health but should be working with them again soon now his health has improved. Taemin and Jimin are great friends. Taemin has a friendship group called Taemin’s Padding Squad because he bought them padded jackets. Kai, Ha Sungwoon and Timoteo plus one non-celebrity friend are part of the group. Key and Minho put out a lot of content both together and separately. They are a hoot together and bicker constantly. I love, Replay’, but, ‘Hard’ is more my kind of music. Jonghyun had seasonal depression since very young age, being an idol and being always exposed to people attention contributed to that but his job wasn't the reason. his depression wasn't treated correctly by the professionals, which is very sad he was indeed very talented, he wrote and composed all of his albums and wrote for SHINee since debut, then for Taemin, EXO, IU
