I hadn’t seen this movie in a long time, but I remember enjoying the heck out of it, and feeling humbled by how this fandom has helped so many people, as well as grateful to have found this community.

I remember a guy randomly telling me about MLP when I was in high school. In retrospect, I guess he tried to convert me to Brony-ism?

I Donated to the Kicktarter for this. It was my First ever Kickstarter donation. (Or Donation Project equivalent) Got my name in the credits and some swag, including a signed copy of the documentary. I was pretty disappointed with it in the end. A much BETTER Documentary on the same topic came out about a month later that needed NO public donations. This was also my LAST ever Kickstarter Donation.

After seeing Dumbsville tear into this unfairly, I needed to see a balanced take on this. Also, like, yeah I used to write fanfics back in those days. Were they cringe? ehhhhh yes, at least until the last few, but they gave me the basis to write my real novels. I wouldn't be where I am without them. I wouldn't have a career (at least a good one) without them. So, do your cringe stuff. You might just set yourself up for a future endeavour.

I remember the YTP of this doc. But man this stinks of that 2010s era nerdcore that defined that era. All they're missing is Patton Oswalt

You should do more animation documentaries, like Waking Sleeping Beauty which is a documentary about the Disney Renaissance era, Persistence Of Vision which is a documentary on The Thief and the Cobbler, The Sweatbox which is a documentary on the unreleased Disney film called Kingdom of the Sun which ultimately became The Emperor’s New Groove, if you’d like Saber, I’ll send you an email on a lot of these, because they truly are wonderful and fascinating documentaries on animation

I actually cited this documentary for a presentation on fandoms, and honed in on the Brony fandom as it was a choose your own topic presentation in sophomore year of high school. I did also watch the other documentary on Bronies but I only cited one interview from it.

Man I found Saber through that. I’m happy he evolved his content. I never finished truly just a flash point in my life came and went no enduring emotions. Just happy people can grow.

Hey Saberspark, You might watch The Lion King 1 1/2 This film is hilarious, funny, great, crazy, cute, wonderful and beautiful. This is Timon & Pumbaa’s perspective story where they both met Simba in the 1994 film. Timon’s Mother sounded like Marge Simpson from The Simpsons.

Love these highlight videos, please keep 'em coming! My only complaint is the characters phasing in and out of the screen. I think it'd be better if your characters were just off to the side, or if you did cover up the screen lean into it with some stylization. I'd love to see the characters as black silhouettes against the screen like a episode of Mystery Science Theatre 3000

I have high hopes that an unlikely fandom which is a documentary about Thomas fans will be better than this🤞

Honestly the “Let’s Go Meet the Bronies” segment is a much better intro and representation of the fandom then this janky doc as a whole. Plus it’s sung, by the voice of Discord!!

Who's the person who thought that making a documentary film about the Brony fandom was a good idea? Who ever made this only covered the parts the fandom WANTS people to see, and not the parts that people NEED to see. The rampant narcissism, the bastardization of the source material, and its infamous & unchecked history of producing M.A.P.s on a daily basis. Why you and ACRacebest decided to associate yourselves with this diseased cesspit of deviency, betrayal, dispair, and corruption will forever be a mystery.
