The best way i found to get clients fast (and reliable in payments) is working with manufacturers and other industrial companies. Also the military is a very good one. So specializing in hard modeling, architectural modeling and interactive and real time applications for previsualization is a great way to gain experience and be sure to bring home the bread. If you accomplish in these steps, you can do whatever you want in every field, even in videogames, if you find it more creative.

I am close to 40 and just started with 3D last Summer, makes me sad thinking about what could've been already if i started earlier, that said it feels like this is the most perfect time to get into all this stuff, channels like these are a goldmine, plus some really great courses out there as well.

Let me tell you, the best time is always now. It is super easy to say I wish I started earlier on anything, really. At Volkswagen, I had a friend who started 3D out of nowhere with 30 and was quite successful and good 2 years later. Nowadays, you can really start a completely new thing and do it successfully in a short time thanks to the internet. Maybe try to enjoy the journey. But also who am I to judge, just my option today. I bet you I could be anything next year if I wanted to, even a chiropractor, why not. I just need someone to teach me. By far, most jobs can be learned in a very short period of time. I bet you I could even become a dentist 😂 can't be that complicated. The hard and complicated part is, when noone tells you how it's done and what's relevant. So try to find the right people to teach you quick.

I super enjoy the journey, 3D took so much space in my life (voluntarily) that i have to make extra efforts to have a somewhat decent work-life balance lol, the past 12 months have been the most prodcutive for me ever. Not getting money out of it yet but i'm confident to get there.
